Take Entebbe, for instance—there are speed limits signs posted at 50 km/h, yet drivers testify that they’ve been penalized for driving just a tad above 30 km/h. It raises a lot of eyebrows, doesn’t it?

And seriously, have you ever tried maintaining a speed of 30 km/h? Some vehicles simply can't handle it. This calls for a much-needed review of the limits.

Moreover, let’s talk about the fines, which are shockingly steep. How many Ugandans actually earn over 500,000 shillings a month, even those working in government? Losing three months’ worth of salary to harsh penalties is simply unjust. Plus, the pressure to pay within 72 hours or face an additional 50% charge is mind-boggling—I've seen banks that offer loans with better terms than that!
