Great question and totally valid concern. The cancer scare around HRT came from a 2002 study (WHI) that used older synthetic hormones. Modern bioidentical HRT, especially transdermal patches or creams, has a very different safety profile. Most current research actually shows it's quite safe for most women, and the risks depend a lot on your personal history, BRCA status, type of HRT, and how long you use it.
We can't speak to your specific situation without a proper evaluation, but one of our providers would be happy to go through your history and help you figure out if it makes sense for you.
