A 37-year-old high school physics teacher was arrested and dragged out of a city commission meeting in Kansas for 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 in support of opposing a new data center.

In the video you can hear one of the city commissioners call on the man to be arrested.

HR 8800 NDAA was held up in the Rules Committee

Bills that don't have unanimous support or are controversial or complex, typically need a rule (H. Res.) that lists what amendments can be debated in the hour before the vote. Only amendments listed in the rule can be offered to the floor.

Massie and Ro Khanna proposed an amendment completely striking Section 219 of the NDAA. (FYI: everyone hates this collaboration but it's it's necessary to muster bipartisan support).

SO...Mike Johnson and the Rules Committee packaged 6 Bills under rule H. Res. 1438:

- H.R. 8800 (FY 2027 NDAA)
- H.R. 8884 (Social Security disability demonstration reauthorization)
- H. Con. Res. 113 (FY 2027 budget resolution)
- H.R. 7008 (Stop Insider Trading Act)
- H.R. 6955 (Main Street Act / banking law changes)
- H.R. 9770 (continuing appropriations / CR)

In doing so, Massie's amendment to strike NDAA was eliminated under the rule.

Packaging all 6 bills under one rule is agenda control, and political theater. They could easily write a rule (H. Res.) for every bill.

EVERY Republican but Massie voted against H. Res. 1438 - meaning they voted IN FAVOR of advancing all of these bills out of committee to a floor vote.

They all knew. They. All. Knew.

Whatever one thinks of integration itself, this process is indefensible.

Binding American defense production to any foreign state, ally or not, is exactly the kind of sovereignty question the House exists to debate, and the rules committee answered it by forbidding the debate.

A measure confident of its merits wins a floor vote; a measure smuggled past one admits it can't.

Taking out the word “integrate” does nothing! It basically skips integration and goes strait to full fusion of our militaries.
