We have just held the annual Partnership Dialogue between #Senegal and the #EuropeanUnion, on this January 28, 2025.

« As a reminder, the political dialogue is a mechanism that allows both parties to meet regularly (on average once a year) to discuss a number of issues and topics of significant importance to them.

In this spirit, and considering the adoption of the “#SenegalVision2050”, today’s meeting focused on economic issues, sustainable development, good governance, African engagement, as well as migration and human mobility.

The discussion of these various points highlighted the dynamic relationship between Senegal and the European Union while also emphasizing our country’s priorities following the election of His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE.

In this regard, the European Union delegation was highly receptive and reiterated its commitment to supporting Senegal in achieving its objectives, particularly in the areas of economic and social development as well as strengthening the rule of law.

At the conclusion of this meeting, I am convinced that Senegal, the European Union, and its member states will be able to elevate their cooperation to a higher level for mutually beneficial outcomes. »
