- In 1990, a monkey sat on the central dome of the Babri Masjid and prevented a bhagwa flag from being removed.

- A Monkey sat on the roof of the courtroom during Ram temple hearing and held the flag-post. The monkey did not touch any of the offerings and left the place when the final order was passed.

- In 1998, a monkey prevented a bomb blast at the Hanuman Garhi Mandir in Ayodhya. The monkey defused a time bomb planted in the temple's main electric supply panel

- In 1999, a monkey prevented again a pressure cooker bomb from exploding outside the Hanuman Garhi temple.

- In January 2024, a monkey entered the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The monkey ran calmly towards the northern gate, then east, and passed through the crowd of visitors. The temple trust said it was as if Hanuman ji himself had come to see Ram Lalla.
