Hideo Kojima says he is not interested in using AI for game visuals. He is more interested in using AI for enemies to improve gameplay depth!
“Rather than having AI create visuals or anything like that, I’m more interested in using AI in the control systems.”
“For example, if you have 100 players, each of them will have their own habits and tendencies, their sense of control, how they move — all of that differs from person to person.
“By having AI compensate for those differences, the gameplay can gain more depth. And in most games, the enemies don’t behave very much like real humans. But by using AI, enemy behavior could change based on the player’s experience, actions and patterns. That kind of dynamic response would make much deeper gameplay possible.”

Expedition 33 director Guillaume Broche said they are strictly against using creative AI but you won't see accounts like this share articles like that because it does not suit their agenda.
I will expand on my point:
1) You are using AI in your daily life. Search engines are AI-powered, your phone camera is AI-powered (sorry, you haven't become better at taking photos-smudges, blinks-all fixed by AI), Alexa? Siri? Google Assistant? Guess what, they are powered by AI. Netflix, YouTube, Twitch-all use AI to highlight content you're interested in. Google Maps and most navigation apps are now powered by AI to calculate your route. Spam filters, health and fitness trackers, even your online planner-all powered by AI.
You use AI every day to make your life easier and find information faster, you're just too proud to admit it.
2) Witch hunts like with Larian Studios will cause only one thing: they will never tell you they're using AI. You think silly outrage will stop anyone from making their work easier? "Bitch please." I've been here when Photoshop was considered a "real art killer" frowned upon by traditional artists and discarded as "not real art." The majority of art is now made using computer tools.
I remember when tens of thousands of Kodak shops closed down when traditional photography was replaced by digital cameras, millions of people lost their jobs, including me. I don't remember outrage back then.
Let's face it, AI is here whether you like it or not; it will not go away because it makes life easier.
We can be civil about it, accept that studios are using AI, and appreciate that they are willing to be honest with us, or we can fuel witch hunts that will cause studios to be completely silent about any use of AI in their work.
This is no longer Kansas, Dorothy.
If I speak about the Larian situation I may upset some of you, but there are people who really need to study the topic before speaking, learn the differences between AI slop and use cases where it can actually help, stages where it can speed up workflow
Not always black and white
You guys apologize for cancelling streams but the truth is your only job as an Oshi is not to die, like avoid banana peels or falling anvils.
Take a week off, a month off…we don’t care, just stay alive and come back when you can
I'm flying home today! ☺️✨️
TwitchCon was a fun experience for me, simply because I met so many kind VTubers who were a joy to talk to~
Thank you everyone!
