The Hyderabad City Traffic Police detected the use of a fake vehicle registration number plate by Khanchandani Balram (59), a resident of Himayathnagar, who tampered with the registration number of his Honda Activa from AP09CH9428 to AP09CM9428 to evade traffic challans. The misuse resulted in traffic violations being wrongly attributed to the genuine owner of vehicle No. AP09CM9428.

Based on the findings, Sultan Bazar Police registered FIR under Section 318(4) BNS read with Section 80(a) of the Motor Vehicles Act and initiated legal action against the accused. Hyderabad Traffic Police cautioned the public that the use of fake or tampered number plates is a punishable offence and warned that such violations are being detected through CCTV and ANPR surveillance systems.

In a remarkable act of courage and presence of mind, PC B. Suresh of Tappachabutra Police Station saved the life of a TGPDCL contract worker who suffered a severe electric shock while carrying out repair works near Kummarwadi Hanuman Temple, Karwan. Responding instantly during his BC-I patrolling duty, the constable rushed to the spot and found the worker unconscious and not breathing.

Without wasting a moment, PC B. Suresh administered CPR on-site and successfully revived the victim’s pulse and breathing before shifting him to the hospital for further treatment. Doctors stated that the timely CPR given during the golden hour played a crucial role in saving the worker’s life, highlighting the Hyderabad City Police’s commitment towards public safety and humanitarian service.
