A reporter asked me what I think needs to happen for Republicans to have a shot in AZ in 2028– here is the most boiled down version:

Environment wise:
1) Getting out of Iran
2) Showcasing ALL the crazy stuff the Dems are going to do at the Capitol

Technics wise:
1) Early consensus on a Senate candidate
2) Early spending and commitments from the Republican apparatus orgs (SLF, NRSC, CFG, etc) to attack the incumbent and support the consensus
3) Taking advantage of the Presidential with a better Presidential candidate than the Dems
4) Zero major candidate PR mistakes
5) Chasing low propensity votes (Both R & Independents) We might not be able to win with just R votes.

FYI, in many places more ‘moderate’ Republican candidates lost more ground than conservatives. Many examples of this in red states and swing states.

I point this out because the mentally challenged people on both sides of arguments will suggest ‘silver bullets’ often around ‘candidate quality’ or ‘policy moderation.’ Every race and state is unique, voters deserve real relationships and most have no idea what’s going on other than the minimal information they ingest.

Tackling Election Manipulation on the Left matters. They will continue to manipulate from about a dozen different strategies to win and most of those need to be stopped to return America to the golden age of fair elections.

Looks clearly matter, easy to remember names sometimes matter, sticking to a single, relatable issue matters. Knocking doors matters. Having real relationships matters. Working together as a team matters.

In Arizona, two candidates in Scottsdale who are younger and prioritized vocally campaigning against Socialists both won in a D +15 environment

Our team worked hard for them & we are very happy they won.

Call me crazy but turns out war and gas prices kinda *REALLY* matter - to both Republicans and Independents .

Tough losses nationwide tonight.

Not surprisingly, those are the two complaints we heard most at the doors, and while we did our best to talk through them with voters, they clearly had a critical impact in tonight’s results.

Lots of lessons learned here that I hope the right people can learn from.

Thank you to the patriots who fought so hard and put in the thankless work every single day for months on end to knock doors and make voter contact. You’re the real heroes tonight who should be celebrated.

I’m headed home to be mom for a few days and love on my kids 💙
