"Health insurance companies are killing people." No, their illnesses and injuries are killing them. Lack of relevant coverage and/or regulatory and bureaucratic roadblocks only lead to a failure to save them. A small but important distinction.

All this "health insurance companies are evil" stuff, despite their faults (which they most definitely do have), if there was no health insurance then medical care for catastrophic injury/illness would be even more unaffordable than it is now.
