Un día como hoy murió Camilo Sesto, tenía 72 años. Llegó a urgencias del Hospital Quirónsalud de Madrid debido a un fallo renal. De acuerdo con su representante, la madrugada del 8 de septiembre de 2019 sufrió dos paros cardiorrespiratorios de los que no pudo recuperarse. Años antes, había estado gravemente enfermo y recibió un trasplante de hígado que le permitió prolongar su vida y mantenerse vinculado a la música varios años más.

Aunque físicamente ya no está entre nosotros, su voz y su legado permanecerán vivos en todos los que amamos su música.
