👑🥔 MAPTF’S NEXT STEP: STRONGER GOVERNANCE WITHOUT AN UNNECESSARY TOKEN MIGRATION
I’m preparing an NNS pre-proposal discussion for the Internet Computer community to explore whether we can strengthen MAPTF’s administration while keeping the existing token.
The goal is to improve the foundations , not ask holders to start over.
Our recorded controller checks show that NNS Root is already listed as a controller of the MAPTF ledger. That gives us a concrete route to investigate with technical reviewers and the community. It does not mean an intervention is guaranteed, approved or already underway.
WHAT WE HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH
🔹 Preserve continuity: retain the existing token canister ID, holder balances and integrations wherever safely possible, avoiding unnecessary disruption to trading and liquidity.
🔹 Establish accountable control: work toward a reviewed, multi-party approval structure rather than relying on an unclear third-party arrangement—or simply giving my everyday wallet unrestricted authority.
🔹 Resolve the remaining dependencies: address minting permissions and long-term access to historical records. Changing the controller list alone would not automatically solve those issues.
This is not a report of stolen funds or a suspected compromise. It is a proactive effort to make MAPTF’s governance and maintenance more understandable, verifiable and dependable.
I welcome input from the existing operators, internet-computer:native developers, governance participants and MAPTF holders. The question is whether a safe, appropriately approved in-place transition can accomplish what we need.
V2 remains a fallback, not the default. If we can satisfactorily improve the existing token, that is my preferred outcome.
No migration has been approved. No NNS endorsement is being claimed. No wallet action is required for this discussion. Holders are not being asked to swap tokens, send funds or sign migration approvals.
https://t.co/6DLzPUz1r6 remains my main product priority ( and nearing completion). This work is about giving the token supporting that project a clearer long-term structure.
The objective: the same MAPTF, with clearer responsibilities, stronger controls and fewer unnecessary dependencies.

@Real_MAP_Tech Clean analysis. That Oct 6 lower high set it up. Sub 2.85 for $ICP looking likely unless buyers step big here.

Target region just got scratched for base:0x00f3c42833c3170159af4e92dbb451fb3f708917 . What has me thinking we see lower is the fact that we saw a lower high off Oct 6 , getting a sell from a lower price point on Oct 11 puts downtrend as higher odds move so to see lower than 2.85 is the expectation.
