[GTA 6 Updates @gtasix_]

NEW GTA 6 DETAILS:

- At certain points, GTA 6 will stop or slow story progression until you reach a required amount of money. Instead of simply giving you a specific mission, the game can leave you to make the money yourself through robberies and other activities before the story continues.

- Any store you enter can potentially be robbed, not only locations marked as robbery opportunities on the map. This can include smaller stores that the game never explicitly tells you to rob.

- Even small store robberies can play out differently. Stores can have security cameras, back entrances, safes and NPCs who may attempt to intervene if they think they have an opportunity to stop you.

- GTA 6 has three different forms of money: money stored in your bank account, physical cash and the value of stolen loot carried in duffel bags. Banked money is safe, while cash carried on you can potentially be lost if you die.

- Stolen loot does not automatically turn into cash. Items taken during robberies must be brought to the appropriate fence, with different fences handling things such as jewelry, drugs and vehicles.

- Rockstar has several levels of free-roam robberies, ranging from small stores to jewelry stores, banks and criminal/gang compounds. Armored vans can also appear around the world as smaller money-making opportunities.

- Some larger robbery opportunities won’t automatically appear on the map. You can discover them through tips from characters, story contacts, events in the world or simply by finding the location yourself.

- When a known robbery opportunity appears on the map, players can see an estimate of the potential amount of money they could make before deciding whether to hit it.

- Criminal and gang compounds can be discovered and robbed for cash or drugs, with the stolen goods then taken to a fence. These robberies can be completed alone or together with Jason or Lucia.

- Some safes require players to actually find the code. The combination might be discovered somewhere inside the location or even provided by a contact or fence.

- GTA 6 is designed so that free-roam money-making is directly connected to the main story, rather than feeling separate from it. Rockstar says making money outside missions is an important part of the game.

- Jason and Lucia can spend money on clothing, hairstyles, makeup, headphones, vehicle customization, garages and registering stolen vehicles as personal vehicles, among other things.

- High-end stolen vehicles cannot necessarily be registered immediately. Players may need to progress far enough to unlock the ability to deal with more valuable vehicles.

- Rockstar acknowledged that GTA 5 gave players huge amounts of money near the end of the story without enough meaningful things to spend it on. The team is specifically looking to address that problem in GTA 6.

- Massive heists also return, although TGG says it is currently unclear whether these larger heists can be completed freely in the open world or are limited to story missions.
