@Georgeday27 Great story @Georgeday27 ! Nice photos from those good times back in Persian hitory... btw, did I tell you that I’m Persian?! Very keen to catch-up and see more photos!
GB : NG ESO reversing continental interconnectors by more than 5GW as it copes with a glut of solar power on a day with low demand. Pushing inertia from 85 GVAs to 140GVAs by creating transmission demand space for 12 CCGT units to come on in the BM. ^PH
GB : It's all about the interconnectors. Market coupling sets up GB for export into the continent meaning there is little opportunity for using them for balancing resulting in massive upward and downward re-dispatch on GB assets only and negative prices. Free electricity! ^PH
Last resort for the ESO to instruct DNOs to disconnect EGs connected to the system as a result of 20% reduction in demand in summer during COVID situation. #flexibility GC0143: Last resort disconnection of Embedded Generation | National Grid ESO https://t.co/EfKDAOOq4X
Social distancing has led to a more than 30% reduction in the peak electricity demand in the UK over the last month. The decrease has continued, all be it at a slower pace, over the last week! #coronavirus#COVID_19uk@ng_eso@ofgem
