@_amitbehere The sperm will fertilize her Indian eggs so there’s still a chance that they will end up looking like her which is second to none in her opinion 🤣
@ABiggerSpalash Most of my topper classmates are very successful, most. A few who were mediocre are as well, those who were horrible and are now are successful are very few but they are the loudest about their success, I guess they are still bitter about being losers in school.
It is time to eliminate teacher evaluations. Administrators should work with teachers to improve their classes and the school overall. They should not enter classes in an adversarial role to complete a task that could cost a teacher their job.
The most intellectually gifted person in my applied math masters program ended up working for the university doing research for pennies. The stupidest, vilest, ass kisser ended up in a large investment bank. This is a very common trajectory.
There are probably only 20 (arguably 50 or so) universities that really matter as far as “prestige” and it mattering for your own personal brand. I didn’t go to one of these universities. The bottom ~90% of universities are all kind of viewed as the same level of prestige (low).
Given the fact that the college system scam is such a major source of federal, state, and personal debt, this transition will likely be a win-win for the individual citizen and for the taxpayer on a more long term time horizon.
The only loser, is the person that paid for the worthless degree, from the mid-low tier school. And that is the person that will fight to keep this ponzi alive.
There is a new emergent caste system in academia. The high priests, thinking what they do is special and rare, look down on AI use as "slop."
Unfortunately for them, Fable / GPT 5.5 Pro can do in 10-15 min what they spent years learning and feeling special about.
So like true high priests they will develop more guardrails and initiation ceremonies to determine who enters the temple. This would be a mistake. The correct approach is to embrace AI use and do more creative science that was not possible before.
@jenteach13 What do you expect when every other teacher is busy virtue signaling saying things like “I love all my students” “my students inspire me” students this students that, student success, student success amazing this that. Education is a fake af cesspool of virtue signaling.
@GaryMarcus As someone who’s been teaching engineering for nearly a decade at a top state school, college is a place with fancy gyms and dorms where you can buy your degree. You can also occasionally threaten peasants like adjuncts and NTTs who teach majority of classes.
@0riettaRose Don't think colleges are any better. I teach engineering and most are graduating without being able to do middle school math. I stopped going to those ridiculous graduation ceremonies where I am supposed to cheer and congratulate people who shouldn't be getting degrees.
Highest graduation rate, fewest number of F's, and the most students accepted to a four-year university, ever! It's amazing what you can accomplish when you put your mind to it by simply limiting what a teacher can input into their gradebook.
