For decades, Hindi cinema avoided showing any real hostility towards Pakistan. It conveniently dressed up terrorism and India–Pakistan tensions in a “balanced” political narrative (Siyasat ka Khel to be precise)

Uri and Dhurandhar have ripped apart that pretence and buried this double-faced storytelling for good.

Not just Pakistan,even Dawood, who Bollywood often glorified as a stylish, full of aura loaded Don, has been stripped down to his true, ugly reality. This film doesn’t romanticize criminals,it crushes that narrative completely.

The cultural impact will be explosive. Indian audiences are done tolerating the decades long Tamasha of “Aman Ki Asha” propaganda that cinema kept pushing. That soft, apologetic lens is finished.

Going forward, filmmakers with conviction will rise and tell unapologetically nationalistic stories, while those who continue to whitewash or subtly glorify ISI or Pakistan will face outright rejection and brutal box office consequences.

Is film ne woh kaam kiya hai jo terrorism aur terrorists k khilaf likhi gayi 1000 kitaabe nai kar saki.
