@tolstoybb Cricket like baseball is a tussle between runs and wickets (resources) the change happens across formats, the shortest format is of 20 overs and 1 innings each while the longest is 2 innings each and can go for 5 days, this modularity makes the game interesting

The team batting (same as Baseball) will need to score runs (think baseball or points in basketball)
In doing so (in a team of 11) you have 10 batters (resources) if you lose 10 resources your innings is over

110 is 20 overs isn't a really big score (global average is in 170-180s) but the pitch (the surface where the game is played) in NY isn't the best so 110 for US is a commendable effort against a fully professional and world class Indian team
