My wife and her sisters were on their first girls’ trip together. Their flight was booked on 14th July through Silky Tours & Travels, with a valid PNR, invoice, and MakeMyTrip payment confirmation.

Yet, when they reached the airport at 3:30 AM today for their 5:00 AM Air India flight, they were told the ticket hadn’t been paid for and were forced to pay ₹25,012 AGAIN or miss their flight.

After endless calls between the travel agency, MakeMyTrip, and customer care, the only answer was: “Pay now if you want to travel, otherwise leave.”

Imagine the stress of four women at 4 AM, after planning this trip for months, with hotels and the entire package already paid for. The mental harassment, panic, and humiliation they faced are unacceptable.

We demand:
• Immediate refund of the extra ₹25,012
• Compensation for the severe mental harassment caused
• Accountability from @airindia, @makemytrip, and Silky Tours & Travels

We cannot wait 24–48 hours for a resolution. This should be resolved immediately. No passenger should ever be put through this ordeal.

The unwavering commitment of the @DelhiPolice to protecting not only people but also the nation’s natural heritage was powerfully reflected in an extraordinary act of compassion in the capital. Displaying remarkable sensitivity and respect, Delhi Police personnel ensured that India’s national bird, the peacock, received a dignified farewell after its death, earning admiration from the local community. In a deeply moving gesture, the peacock was respectfully wrapped in the Indian tricolour and accorded a ceremonial farewell with full dignity. The incident occurred on Saturday night at MCD Agrasen Park in Shivaji Market, Narela, where the peacock was found dead while stray dogs were seen mutilating its body. The distressing sight could have ended as another unfortunate incident, but the prompt response of the Delhi Police changed the course of events. Working alongside two local youths, the police intervened immediately, rescued the bird’s remains from further damage, and ensured that it was treated with the honour befitting the country’s national bird.@dcpouter @dcpou
