“Smarter Than the Storm” is my new book. It makes one central argument: climate change is a threat multiplier, amplifying risks across food, energy, conflict, and growth; #AI, if designed and governed responsibly, can act as a force multiplier.

The real opportunity lies in AI converging with smarter climate choices- helping us see risks earlier, act quicker, and scale solutions faster. Upgrading the grid, scaling storage, enhancing non fossil generation and modernising transmission through AI are critical.

Co-authored with Siddharth Sinha, the book will be officially launched on 24th February in New Delhi. Launch details coming soon.

I couldn’t be prouder of this young champion, Anahat Singh, on winning the World Junior Squash Championships! 🇮🇳🏆

One of my favorite memories of Anahat goes back to 2022, when I had the opportunity to speak with her through OGQ. Even at that age, what stood out wasn’t just her extraordinary talent, but also the remarkable maturity, composure, and clarity with which she carried herself. It left a lasting impression on me.

I know this is only the beginning. This is the first of many, many big victories to come.

For years, the World Junior Squash Championship was dominated by Egypt.

Now, an 18-year-old from Delhi has rewritten history.

Anahat Singh has become the first Indian ever to win the World Junior Squash Championship, defeating Egypt's Ruqayya Salem in a dominant straight-game final. In doing so, she also ended Egypt's remarkable 13-year winning streak in the tournament.

After winning bronze last year and reaching the senior world's Top 20 at just 18, Anahat has now achieved what no Indian ever had.

A historic victory. A new champion. A new era for Indian squash.

On #KargilVijayDiwas it was an honour for me to launch the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Maitreyi College - an institution where my mother had served for 18 long years as Principal.

Sixty years is a meaningful span in the life of any institution. It is long enough to build a legacy, to shape generations, and to leave a mark on the society it serves. Maitreyi College has done all three.

Named after the great Vedic philosopher Maitreyi, whose life continues to symbolise wisdom, inquiry, courage, and the dignity of independent thought. The college has worked to educate young women, to build confidence, and to prepare students not only for careers, but for leadership in public life, in research, in enterprise, and in the many spaces where India is being shaped every day.

🇮🇳 India has just taken a major step toward building its own long-range air defence shield.

The first flight test of its Kusha missile system was a success, intercepting a simulated high-speed, high-altitude target.

The full system will eventually field missiles with ranges of 150 km, 250 km, and 350 km.

The bigger picture?

India is steadily replacing dependence on foreign air defence systems with one built at home, and Project Kusha is becoming one of the country's most ambitious military programs.

Rakesh Anand, an IIT Bombay graduate, quit his corporate job in Dubai. His wife Roopika also left a successful banking career at Emirates Bank, ICICI Bank and Reliance Capital.

In 2018, they leased just 2 bighas of land in Uttar Pradesh and started farming.

No farming background.
No family business.
No experience.

People questioned their decision. They made mistakes, learned from local farmers, and slowly figured out organic farming through trial and error.
Then Covid arrived.

Instead of giving up, they started delivering fresh vegetables directly to nearby homes. Customers loved the quality. One family told another, and word of mouth did the rest.

Today, their farm has grown to around 15 acres. Through their farm to fork brand, they supply chemical free vegetables, fruits, grains, pulses, cold pressed oils, pickles and more to families across Delhi NCR.

Rakesh says they did not leave their jobs to earn more money. They wanted to build a healthier life, stay close to nature and give people food they could trust.

Sometimes the biggest risk is staying in a job that no longer makes you happy.

Silicon and Smartphones: India's Industrial Policy Comes of Age.
India is beginning its next chapter with factories, export lines, trained workers, supplier networks and a record of execution. The smartphone changed India's export basket. The next decade must ensure that chips and the artificial intelligence they power change something more fundamental - who owns the technology and who captures the value.
The smartphone was the proof of concept. The chip, and the intelligence it powers, is the larger industrial thesis.

If I were building a startup today, I would bet on: 1. drones and defence tech, 2. energy storage for mobility and grids, and 3.
