For us service business owners, it’s a tangible asset. You can build wealth over a long period of time and use some leverage. Plenty of people who have gotten rich slowly. I’m not talking about the fix and flip riches but more buy and hold. This was a great tweet though!

Genuine question : what is it about real estate that gives it such aura?

Almost every person who’s successful in any given area will - at one point - get the itch to invest in real estate.

It’ll be anything from buying a rental to investing in a syndication. Half of them will crash and burn and spend years licking the wounds.

But countless new generations will make some money and get a gleam in their eye: “Why don’t I go buy me some real estate??”

Yesterday I met an old friend who has been battling stomach cancer for the last few years. We have rescheduled multiple meetings because some days he could not get out of bed. He still said some people have it a lot worse so it keeps him fighting and going. ❤️

Hard Money:

I have been borrowing from the same person for the last 5 years.

Private Individual, has around $5mm of personal money.

He loans to about a dozen local house flippers.

He loans a 1 hour radius from his house

He drive and runs his own comps

He holds his notes in a personal family trust.

The last 3 projects Ive emailed him on he was out of cash = more demand than money

It would be hard to find a better risk adjusted return than a 1st TD @ 70% LTV on So Cal SF with very experienced flippers.

Who wants to send me $5mm? (joking)

Walked a house with one of the biggest buyers in one of the county’s and saw deal making in real time. Relationships bring the deals to him. Homes, notes (performing) with cash flow and other opportunities. Super humble and I was fortunate to spend the day with him. #retwit

@StudentRentPro @jmaxwell_ Some of us played red and black where you guess the color of the card and if you get it wrong, you just take a big shwig of Jack Daniel’s or Crown Royal. Then, you go out and party because you were ready to make more memories that you will not remember. Great times though!
