@ChShersh@K19Unknown Because most recruiters do not know the difference, and are actually scanning your cv/resume for “c/c++”. Go shop for some positions now and you will see a good chunk of them looking for “c/c++” in the role descriptions.
@pr6ve@addasmany@johnny45436859@jacksonhinkle Well, the fact its still on the original engine with 150 stops monday to saturday means this really isn't a problem. Most people will never stop 150 times a day lmao. Might differ per car but a well built system should hold up fine
@ddlucardi@engrfix1 That's why you inject power directly into the shorting rail, because the faulty component will heat up. No need to turn it on the official way it was designed to
Before and after the copper mod and PTM 7950 application. Fans rotate much slower too now. The VRAM temperatures used to reach 105c while benchmarking it with overclocks, now it maxes out on 88c. Hotspot delta is smaller too because it doesn't pump out.
@Pirat_Nation I specifically didn't add bad servers here since i know getting that to work correctly on day 1 is next to impossible. But the lack of just NVIDIA Reflex alone and no OFF toggle for the AA blur (besides doing cvar hacks) on day 1 is just trash UX.
@Pirat_Nation > Forced Anti-Aliasing blur
> Runs ~100fps on a 4080 Super
> No NVIDIA Reflex or AMD AntiLag
> Requires TPM with Secure Boot
The backlash is deserved. They need to put more effort on optimizing the tech instead of rolling out slop that needs a 5080 to run decently.
@racenerd2@BleepinComputer I turned my old burner laptop on after 2 years of no use. First thing i see in task mgr is the Microsoft Copilot app, eating all my cpu
@librempeg@FFmpeg If you look at the fftw3 library for example, they have codelets for sse and avx too (they even have avx512 in the works atm). These simd instructions aren't exclusively used for multimedia
@librempeg@FFmpeg Idk to what extend this rule applies to (software in the car, or outside as well) but they have their own real time simulation software for aerodynamics etc which definitely can make good use of SSE/AVX lol. Especially considering wind tunnel tests have time limits too
