👉In 1996, FDLR (ALIR) threatened to kill the then @USAmbRwanda
👉In 1999, FDLR kidnapped &killed 8 foreign tourists including two U.S citizens.

Those two events prompted @StateDept to add #FDLR to the Terrorist Group List in 2002.

Today, something feels fishy!

Judging by the current status quo and @SecRubio’s stance, one can clearly see a damning double standard. SMH!

The FDLR that killed U.S. citizens, attempted to assassinate an ambassador, and more recently killed the Italian Ambassador to the DRC (RIP) is still active, with a renewed ideology particularly against Rwanda, and the U.S. knows this very well.

That same terrorist group is currently being propped up by both the Gitega and Kinshasa regimes.

It is also at the forefront of aiding and abetting Kinshasa’s ploy to exterminate Rwandaphones, most notably the Tutsis.

So the question is this;

If the U.S. can blacklist the FDLR and even try its terrorists in its courts, why would some actors distort Rwanda’s defensive mechanisms against the very same threat that is right in our backyard?
