To: Energy investors and Energy Industry Players
Both Pumped Energy Storage Hydropower plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems can convert “illegal dumping of electricity” into a) an investment opportunities and b) energy security for the country.
The Regulator needs to set up the framework and the investors put up Energy Storage Systems. Then we have a win-win situation for Prosumers, Investors and Consumers.

Example;
Kyushu Japan has about 60,000 sites generating electricity from solar panels at 100/200V to 66kV. The total generated is 11GW.
The “afternoon excess” solar power is used to pump water up a nearby 600MW pumped storage hydro plants for peak hours.
The price difference between “purchasing excess” solar power and “generating hydro during peak hours” makes the plant viable
I was shot 3 times in the back outside Parliament on June 25, 2024. I was among those shot that day and I was the only one who survived. My name was even listed among those who had died. The media did not expect me to make it.
We went out together, my friends never came back. I carry them with me every day. May they rest in peace. 🙏
Over 2 years later I have refused to give up. I have lived through a severe spinal cord injury, chronic pain, sepsis, bladder stones and countless hospital admissions.
I am now asking for help with the costs that come with my recovery; Physiotherapy, medication, follow-up appointments and other medical expenses.
My biggest goal is to keep working on my recovery and regain my independence.

On this, I will give it to the medics. I couldn't do what they do. Watching a whole human shrivel up with disease right in front of you is not an easy sight. It does something to you.
I remember when I 1st learned of my mom's diagnosis, I travelled home to find a severely emaciated woman, with dry eyes & no hair on her head. I put my bag down, hugged her, then went to my brother's Simba (hut) & cried like a child. I cried so much I had to bite into my tshirt to stop myself from making a sound. I was so heartbroken.
Hardest part to it was having to go back to her immediately after, joking, & pretending everything was okay. But I kind of think she knew I'd been crying. She was the one telling me it'd be fine every two minutes.
We often talk of the physical toll among medics, but the mental toll is unquantifiably harrowing. I understand the swollen bags under the eyes.
Your work is appreciated. 💪🏾👍🏾
