COUNTRY UPDATE: with the new government's planned policies, Germany will get close to its 2030 target of 65%, but needs more measures to its promised overachievement of target, & reach 1.5°C compatibility. No change to overall rating: "Insufficient" /2

We solved this price-making problem via backward dynamic programming and ran a case study on a small district heating system in Denmark.
Our results suggest savings when using the flexible thermal mass of the system to be ~17%, when assuming no storage unit in the system. 4/5
As part of openENTRANCE, we are drafting a report on "Reconciling first-best model worlds and the real world". We need your input on your perceptions of gaps between models and policy. Please fill our survey⤵️https://t.co/XocTjcXo5S
The survey will be open until December 31st.
Nur noch wenige Tage bis zur #Bundestagswahl21 ! ⏰
Falls euch jemand fragt, warum diese Wahl so wichtig ist für den #Klimaschutz und warum man überhaupt wählen gehen sollte… ⤵️
An efficient coupling of the #heat and #power sector will be crucial to decarbonise Danish district heating: Excited to share our article on optimal block bidding for CHP units in #districtHeating!
Feedback and comments highly appreciated (no pay-wall): https://t.co/GSniRYje2W
This might be interesting for the #energySystem modellers out there. Our modelling framework Frigg (in early-stage) links energy system models to #demandResponse models. Great to be a part of #openEntrance!
Case study 7 evaluates the possible impact of flexibilities from the #HeatingSector, at different time scales, on the system operation costs and network expansion needs.
