A knifeman broke into the west London home of a young mother and stabbed her to death as she slept in bed with her husband and three-month-old baby, a court has heard.

Daniel Sean James, 46, is accused of killing 24-year-old Kirandeep Kaur in her home in Hayes on the morning of July 12.

Daniel Sean James has been charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in connection to the death of 24-year-old Kirandeep Kaur, who had given birth just weeks before.

He stabbed her to death.

46-year-old Daniel Sean James has been charged with the murder of Kirandeep Kaur, who police say was sleeping in her bedroom alongside her husband and their three-month-old baby when he allegedly broke into their home and stabbed her in the chest.

After the attack, he jumped from a window and broke both of his ankles before being arrested by police.

James had earlier allegedly stabbed a man in his 20s in the back on Uxbridge Road at around 7:50am on 12 July. The victim survived with non-life-threatening injuries.

He has also been charged with the attempted murder of the man in his 20s and possession of a bladed article. He was remanded in custody.
