In the early 1950s, a silent shadow hung over the stunning valleys of the Himalayas. Across a belt stretching 1000s of KMs from Jammu & Kashmir through Himachal Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh to the North-East, ~50% of the population suffered from swollen necks, massive thyroid goitres & severe physical & mental stunting. Entire villages were trapped in a cycle of endemic cretinism. Global medical experts insisted the problem was far too massive to fix in a developing nation. Then, a young Oxford-trained pathologist stepped into the Kangra Valley with a crate of crude chemical salt, intent on proving them wrong. In 1950s, Dr. Vulimiri Ramalingaswami, a brilliant researcher at the ICMR who would later become the Director of AIIMS & DG of ICMR, launched what became known as the Kangra Valley Experiment. Western nations had previously tackled goitre by adding potassium iodide to table salt. But Western scientists scoffed at the idea of applying this solution to rural India. This news never made it in India. India's ISRO developed (partly) and launched NASA-ISRO NISAR satellite found something very interesting in Antarctica 6 days ago. I'm not getting into the details of what was discovered. The point of this post is something more important: @isro has 8M followers. It's account is dormant since July 18th. Isn't this a huge waste of information space? > If we are so poor in our own narrative, > If even orgs like ISRO can't run an active social media (which many youngsters will do for free if given an internship), > If GoI isn't pushing India's achievements to reach the Gen-Z continuously, > If Indian media only cover the issues in India, not elsewhere, and not the good stuff happening, Then this information and communication gap is captured by adversaries and hostile actors, using our issues like they don't happen elsewhere, to program our own young against the govt, our institutions like ISRO, and our entire country. Because these young people do not have a past barometer to judge events. They have never seen or experienced India's past. They do not have much understanding of the world. In the mid-1920s, a brilliant young physicist from Chittagong named Satis Ranjan Khastgir returned to India with an impeccable pedigree. He had finished a rigorous PhD at the University of Edinburgh under Prof. C.G. Barkla, a Nobel laureate famous for discovering characteristic X-rays. Khastgir had spent yrs inside dark, heavily shielded basements studying the way X-rays scatter when they collide with matter. He was primed to establish India's next premier X-ray research lab. But when he arrived, he hit a massive institutional wall. The few available, well-funded physics positions in colonial India were already occupied by towering titans like C.V. Raman, S.N. Bose & M.N. Saha. The specialized crystal equipment needed for high-end X-ray research was prohibitively expensive & tied up in elite metropolitan departments. Khastgir found himself stationed at the University of Dacca in 1931 with plenty of eager students, but an empty, underfunded lab. Rather than letting his research stall, Khastgir looked out the window at the violent, unpredictable tropical thunderstorms rolling across the subcontinent. He realized he did not need expensive imports. He had a natural, massive lab waiting just above his head. Encouraged by Sisir Kumar Mitra, the pioneer of Indian radio research, Khastgir completely shifted his focus from X-rays to the messy, erratic world of wireless & atmospherics. At the time, radio technology was still in its infancy. The primary challenge holding back long distance communication was static. The global scientific consensus viewed this static as random background noise. Khastgir suspected otherwise. He believed these crackles were highly structured electromagnetic footprints broadcast by lightning strikes 1000s of KMs away. Working with a shoestring budget, Khastgir & his students began scavenging for spare copper wire, obsolete vacuum tubes & old radio dials. They built custom, ultra-sensitive directional radio receivers & hooked them up to large, hand wound loop antennas mounted on the university roofs. Whenever a storm rolled in, Khastgir did not run for cover. He sat in his lab, tuning his homebrewed receivers to intercept the exact frequencies of the lightning's discharge. By the late 1930s & 40s, Khastgir’s Wireless Lab at Dacca had quietly become 1 of the most productive research schools on the subcontinent. His equations on how radio waves fade & how the upper atmosphere scatters electronic signals were being published in top-tier international journals. But an unusual pattern began to emerge. Because a newly independent India was trying to build its national infra from scratch, Khastgir's lab became the ultimate talent pool. Once we have those, He can be seen not just on Kailash by scientists but everywhere and anywhere because that mountain is not the only place, He is. He is everywhere. This separate set of eyes required are those of mind, those of heart, those of dedication, those of your surrender. Once that comes, rest all will automatically fall into place.

Why do people fail at sadhana? Just a brief set of thoughts. 1: Not understanding what you want in the first place. 2: Not understanding one’s own limitations well. 3: Not doing enough sadhana for a period of time. 4: Not repeating sadhana at one place for a period of time. 5: Not understanding that certain things work and many things (mantras and various Tantra procedures) simply DO NOT work. In fact they will never work… it’s not possible. This above point I saw someone on a SM group complain that his problem increased in intensity after reading xyz. There was a link, so (knowing it because I have prior knowledge about that)… I clicked it and literally that thing had a few pages missing. Best part, most of the so called Tantrikas and experts in the field haven’t even realised it. I only know because I hand wrote those few missing pages from those manuscripts myself having learnt about it in detail in my younger years. But … that incomplete Tantra text won’t work for most people unless they managed to realise it was incomplete AND got the knowledge to complete that text … (Some people might ask… why I didn’t help him? Well… I got over that stupidity a long time ago. Never put your hand into something unless you are specifically told and requested hard and long by someone to do so… Besides…. that person is someone’s chela and so when their guru himself doesn’t know it… you are inviting trouble pointing out something like that. And why disturb one’s own mental peace. Apart from above, some things are Shiva Keelita.. so how can it work… 6: Going after the wrong thing (or the wrong person) in the first place as your sankalpa. 7: Not being choosy about who you stay with, not being careful about whose hand you eat food from on a regular basis. This number 7, Sangati and lack of understanding about how you should be careful about food can make your spiritual journey very difficult. Women especially should be careful about number 7. 8: Running from place to place doing micro sadhana at each place for few days at a time. One thing the mind loves to do… remember it’s basic quality is that of a monkey which likes to go in ten different directions … is to go here and there and somewhere else and do sadhana there for small amounts of time… Will that help? If you wish to succeed, you have to choose a place, you have to choose a sadhana and you have to remain there for a long time… preferably few years, but at least 48 days at a stretch doing sadhana for that period. This point 8 is why I see not much point in going to Tirth Yatras… or pilgrimages. Save those pilgrimage places and yourself, unless you can spend that sort of time there .. or you have a place to stay where you won’t be disturbed for the sadhana period. I hope this small list of points helps genuine sadhakas.

This is a beautiful story about Śuka, the son of Maharshi Vyāsa. Eager to realize the Ultimate Truth, Śuka approached his father. Instead of teaching him directly, Vyāsa sent him to King Janaka, a realized sage-king. When Śuka reached Janaka's palace, the king deliberately ignored him for seven days. Śuka neither complained nor left. He stood patiently, his mind perfectly calm. On the eighth day, Janaka welcomed him with great honor and surrounded him with every royal luxury, lavish food, comfort, and beautiful attendants. Yet Śuka remained completely detached, unmoved by pleasure just as he had been by neglect. Only then did Janaka teach him the highest knowledge. Shubh Ratri 🙏🏽

The science behind the Hydrogen train is wild. It is a train that drinks hydrogen and breathes out plain water. No smoke, no diesel, no fire inside it. Once you understand how that actually works, it starts sounding like magic that happens to be real. Let me build it up from the very beginning. First, what happened. On 17 July 2026, PM Modi Ji flagged off India's first hydrogen train. It runs between Jind and Sonipat in Haryana, an 89 km stretch. India is now the sixth country in the world to run one, after Germany and a few others. Now the science. Every train needs power to move. Old trains burned coal. Then diesel trains burned diesel. Both work by burning something, which means smoke and pollution. Electric trains are cleaner, but they need those wires hanging over the track, and the power in those wires still often comes from burning coal in a power plant somewhere. A hydrogen train does something completely different. It makes its own electricity on board, out of thin air and a gas. No burning. No smoke. No wires needed. Like I said, the science behind it is genuinely beautiful. You need to remember one thing from school. Water is H2O. Two hydrogen atoms stuck to one oxygen atom. That is what water is made of. A hydrogen fuel cell just runs that fact backwards. Instead of splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen, it takes hydrogen gas stored in tanks on the train, and oxygen from the normal air around us, and lets them join back together to form water. And here is the trick. When hydrogen and oxygen come together to make water, they release energy. In a fuel cell, that energy comes out as electricity. So the machine is basically doing this. > Hydrogen plus oxygen goes in. > Electricity comes out to run the motors. And the only leftover, the only waste, is water. Clean water and a little warm air. Now let me explain the fuel cell itself. Imagine a sandwich. On one side you push in hydrogen. On the other side you let in air, which carries oxygen. In the middle there is a special thin sheet called a membrane. That membrane is picky. It lets tiny bits of the hydrogen sneak through in one particular way, and that sneaking sets up a flow of electric charge. That flow of charge is electricity. Once the hydrogen gets to the other side, it meets the oxygen, they hold hands, and they become water. No flame. No explosion. No bang. Just a chemical handshake that leaks out electricity. That is the part people find hard to believe. It looks like nothing is happening, and yet it is powering a 10 coach train. Now why this particular launch is a proud engineering moment. Most hydrogen trains in the world are tiny. Two or three coaches. They run on short countryside routes carrying a few hundred people. India did not build a toy. India built a 10 coach trainset that can carry around 2,600 passengers. The design has two power cars, one at each end, holding the hydrogen tanks and fuel cells, and eight passenger coaches in between. It is built to run at up to 110 kmph. That is the biggest, or one of the biggest, hydrogen train efforts anywhere. We did not just copy a small foreign version. We scaled it up to Indian crowd size. And it was built here in India. The coach came out of the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. A dedicated hydrogen plant was set up in Jind to make and fill the fuel. This is Make in India in the truest sense, not an imported train with a sticker on it. Now, hydrogen is not free magic. There is a catch, and it is important. To get hydrogen gas, you have to make it, usually by splitting water using electricity. If that electricity comes from burning coal, then you have just moved the pollution from the train to the power plant. It is only truly green if the hydrogen is made using solar or wind power. India is building that, but we are not fully there yet. Hydrogen is also expensive to produce right now, and the tanks and fuel cells cost a lot. So for the next few years, this will be pricier than a normal train. This one route is a pilot. A test. A place to learn before spreading it wider. And storing hydrogen safely needs serious engineering, because the gas is very light and very flammable. To their credit, the train has multiple safety layers that sniff for leaks, heat, flames and smoke. So, this is not the finished revolution. It is the first real step, and a genuinely big one. A country of 1.4 billion people just built one of the largest hydrogen trains on Earth, that turns a gas and air into electricity and gives back only water. :)

Till you are the victim in your own story, you have not realised that you are not the victim, but the entire cause(karmic), and it is across multiple births. ‘This suffering that I bestowed upon me, that I have to burn off myself, Give me the strength to power through it..’ For someone in the sadhana of a Deity who is Digambara. This is the greatest hack to burn off Karma. Till you pretend to be the victim of your own karma, the Digambara Deity, is blind to you. When you decide to stand up and fight (not physically), you hack the code. Till you paint yourself the victim, you will be unable to burn that off. The other way is to kill the ego by completely surrendering to the Lord, by realizing one’s helplessness and saying all the time, ‘Not I but thou, O Lord’, giving up all sense of ‘I’ and ‘mine’ and leaving it to the Lord to do what he likes with you.
