This article provided many wonderful reading strategies to improve comprehension. While I was familiar with most of the strategies I look forward to using the SQ3R Method next year in ELA. This strategy will ensure students are staying engaged while reading the text.
The Anticipation Guide strategy can be used in any content area and I like that it can be used during whole group instruction, small group, or even independently. What a great way to get students excited about reading!
Use Anticipation Guides to incorporate into your science lessons! They help stimulate student interest, set a purpose for reading, help students make predictions, and connect new knowledge to their prior knowledge. https://t.co/Otfytx9DMb #SWGAContentLearning

Great article that gave several strategies to teach visual literacy. One of my favorite strategies was very simple, yet effective. Captioning a pic or photo is a strategy that can be easily incorporated into any subject area to help students understand the importance of visuals
Using Multi-Modal Comparisons is one of the many effective strategies that help teach visual literacy! After a novel study, have your students watch the movie version and have them compare the two. https://t.co/kesvlr0qJI #SWVisualLiteracy
Snuggle up with a good book day to promote a culture of literacy. Allow students/staff to wear pajamas and have a full day of read alouds and independent reading. (Hot choc, pillows, and popcorn adds more fun!)
