This study highlighted the benefits of choral singing:
Resilience - Statistically significant increase in resilience at week 8.
Less Anxiety; Positive Growth - Not statistically significant, but still important.
Quote: "Participant feedback responses indicated that weekly choral practice improved feelings of self-efficacy and empowerment that may help them navigate physical and mental cancer survivorship-related challenges and build resilience."
Who Participated? Six women who identified as cancer survivors attended 90-minute virtual choir rehearsals.
Data Collected: Researchers followed them over 8 weeks.
What Did They Measure? The singers completed self-report measures about resilience, anxiety, and other benefits.
