@RutgersAltRoute I would like to do a mini-lesson on a growth mindset. I teach ESL, so this would really help my students with the negative thinking they have when reading, writing, and speaking. #AltRtEd#growthmindset
@ASingh60290388@RutgersAltRoute These thoughts are very common for students and adults. This is why I love the growth mindset approach; it is helpful for any age.
@jwinkler413@RutgersAltRoute Yes, I agree "picking battles" is something that is very important. Some can be ignored and some cannot. I use Class Dojo.
@RutgersAltRoute Students can create opportunities for students with disabilities like ADHD by allowing them to have a responsible role in the classroom. Usually, students who have ADHD get negative attention, so this would help with that. AltRtEd #Sped
@RutgersAltRoute I can empower my students with disabilities to be advocates in the classroom requiring them to speak up instead of answering questions for them and advocating for them all the time. Of course, I would be present to help them, if needed. #AltRtEd#Sped
@RutgersAltRoute I create an environment that brings out the strengths of the students who have disabilites. This gives them opportunities to shine in class!
