@realEstateTrent Absolutely easier. Our city of choice is Chicago. We have 5 grocery stores in walking distance, plus a lake, great restaurants, and more. The kids walk to school. Trains & busses mean the car stays in the garage most days.
@gsrobins@Jeff_Holmes Not if you use the Curb app. My taxi in Chicago knew where I was going and didn’t need GPS because he knew the route from experience.
@dieworkwear My favorite repair was 50+ years ago, when my busker boyfriend tore his only pair of jeans. The rip was along the front zipper, so I fashioned a plaid guitar, complete with embroidered tuning pegs, strings and a sound hole. The memory still makes me smile.
@RachelBitecofer@jonfw2@DonnaArneson7 I remember the veil and kleenex, but went to public school in the 60s and only heard of the paddle in magazine stories.
@im_tpayne It’s an easy drive, but unless you want to stop for hiking somewhere, there isn’t much to do along the way. Once in PA, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water house isn’t far from the highway.
@amelia_tweetz Philadelphia has the best one. The bus actually pulls up the airport doors.
Chicago’s Blue Line ends at the airport, but from there it’s a long walk to the departure check-in.
@Blurred_Worlds When the author creates a character, then changes the personality of that character halfway through the book (Wally Lamb: "She's Come Undone").
