Today @SwanseaUni marine biology students helped @redseaprojecteg with monthly turtle surveys at Abu Dabbab. 14 green turtles spotted on 5 snorkel transects - great opportunity to help with conservation research in Egypt. Wonder how many the next team will count on Monday?

Huge announcement from the Egyptian Government!

2,000km of Red Sea coral reefs will be protected in a new Marine Protected Area - the Great Fringing Reef MPA.

These reefs are #biodiversity hotspots, critical for ocean health.
