I can’t stop thinking about how good it would be to have a really well made TV series about speech, language and communication needs. It could explore a different diagnosis/area of need each week (e.g. DLD/Aphasia/Speech sound disorder) and follow real people and real SLTs ⭐️
@Hermesparcels @Hermesparcels you’ve said you’ve delivered my parcel. But you haven’t delivered it to me. Where is it? Your bot Holly hasn’t been helpful. Can I get a response?
@GillianRudd @Fi_Contextual @GivingVoiceUK@guardian Couldn't agree more. @Guardian ran PA Media copy, but it would be good to see more coverage for speech & language therapists - not least how they are providing vital support to #COVID19 patients helping them to speak, eat & drink safely in rehab. Lots of other initiatives too.
Thank you so much for your incredible and essential support to allow us to offer an online programme to the women we work with @camden_giving#community ❤️
The right to council care in England & Wales needs to be restored and the Gov needs to support disabled women to stay in work and live independently. We’ve united with 60+ orgs to call for action for women & girls in all our diversity during #lockdownuk – https://t.co/WAmS8PrJc9
International Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) Awareness Day will be 19th October 2018. This year's theme is the "ABC's of DLD".
A - ASSESS understanding
B - BUILD knowledge
C - CREATE awareness
Let's use #devlangdis#DLDABC to spread the word on DLD!
Sad that average UK #SLT pay dropped 15% to £28k since 2011, while psychologist pay rose 25% to £41k. Remember that hard won 1997 landmark victory #equalpay 4 women that showed parity of roles? https://t.co/sKHAKUTqrS @wespeechies@RCSLT@pjenderby https://t.co/fGfxZkYZYF
