Every shift my staff do everything possible to keep children safe & remain professional in increasingly extreme circumstances
But data doesn’t support a distinctive performance & not fair on families to describe it as such

If you hear people talking about whether open schools is "safe", or "unsafe", sadly this is basically meaningless
Children themselves have little to fear, but there are wider harms to consider
There is no safe or unsafe, only balance of risks, harms and benefits

Summary: Young children seem significantly less susceptible, probably less likely to transmit. Less clear for teens. Schools mainly follow community trends, but secondary much higher risk than primary

According to @DoctorChrisVT Cows' Milk Protein Allergy in the exclusively breastfed infant is extremely unlikely. It is far more likely that the suggestion was made to ensure more sales of hydrolysed formula. @babyfriendly #bfconf
@EMManchester@RCEMpresident @FASSGEM @RMCH_PED Yes Paediatrics. I think it’s useful though as means I can do other roles as a Paediatrician if I ever wanted to.
I am also on GP register too as did that first. Definitely not a straightforward route to PEM!
@EMManchester@RCEMpresident @FASSGEM I am working as a PEM consultant after CESR in 2018. My CESR is in Paediatrics (can only do subspec as a pre CCT). Can only be on spec reg for a subspec (e.g. pem/neonates) if have some training abroad. Got my post by doing pem non training grade and a supportive dept at Leic
