"A million Americans died, and I think they deserve to know the truth."
Sen. Rand Paul says Dr. Anthony Fauci has no reason not to talk after the Senate voted to hold him in contempt of Congress, calling out his Biden-era presidential pardon that dates back to 2014.
Paul says the pardon covers Fauci's conduct that could potentially be criminal, meaning Fauci only needs to avoid committing a new crime to keep that immunity and should answer lawmakers' questions instead of repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment.
El-Sayed Campaign Backed by Over $100,000 from Dozens of Members of Group with Alleged Terror Ties
Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate in Michigan Abdul El-Sayed took over $115,000 from 41+ CAIR officials and members including top national leaders
Council on American-Islamic Relations is labeled a terror group by the UAE, Florida and Texas.
🚨 MICHIGAN: Meet Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, the most radical candidate ever nominated for the U.S. Senate by a major party.
➡️ El-Sayed publicly pledged support for the Muslim Brotherhood, a U.S. government-designated foreign terrorist organization.
➡️ El-Sayed’s father-in-law, Jukaku Tayeb, is the former president of CAIR’s Michigan chapter, another designated terrorist group, and founder of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which has been accused of funneling $12 million to Hamas.
➡️ El-Sayed's top surrogate is known terrorist sympathizer, Hasan Piker, who said that America deserved 9/11.
El-Sayed was also a big lockdowner who criticized Florida for having beaches open but defended BLM protests as exceptions to lockdowns.
Grok:
El-Sayed (epidemiologist, former Detroit Health Department director, and current Michigan Democratic U.S. Senate candidate) was a strong early and ongoing advocate for COVID-19 lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, social distancing, mask mandates, and vaccination efforts. He criticized those who opposed or violated restrictions while supporting Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests in summer 2020 as addressing a parallel public health crisis (racism). https://t.co/bQocj2V95G https://t.co/gu22YtZmbi
Early pandemic (March–May 2020)
As a public commentator (including via his “America Dissected” podcast, CNN appearances, and social media), El-Sayed pushed aggressive mitigation:
• In a March 19, 2020 Guardian op-ed, he called for “bold action” including eliminating gatherings in restaurants/bars/clubs, potentially locking down communities with outbreaks, and mandating work-from-home for non-essential personnel. He framed this alongside addressing economic insecurity. https://t.co/2iXyHurzMW
• He urged stay-at-home measures, criticized beachgoers/partiers and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for allowing beach gatherings, labeled non-compliers “#COVidiots,” and described the death toll in terms exceeding 9/11 impacts. He praised Anthony Fauci and endorsed social distancing as essential. https://t.co/gu22YtZmbi
He consistently emphasized systemic issues (racism, poverty, inadequate safety nets) as amplifying COVID harms, especially in communities of color, and linked the pandemic to arguments for Medicare for All and stronger public health investment.
Summer 2020: Support for BLM protests amid restrictions
After George Floyd’s death, El-Sayed defended large outdoor, often unmasked BLM protests. He argued racism itself was a public health crisis (citing excess Black deaths annually) that could not fairly be pitted against COVID risks, and that Black communities were already disproportionately affected by the virus. He participated in or supported protests (with some advice on masking/distancing) while continuing to criticize anti-lockdown protests as benefiting the virus. https://t.co/gu22YtZmbi https://t.co/UI8OcceJxA
This aligned with positions taken by many public health figures and Democratic leaders at the time.
2021: Calls for renewed lockdowns, masks, and vaccine measures
During Michigan’s spring 2021 surge (and his commentary around the gubernatorial race period), El-Sayed urged Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to impose another statewide lockdown or “pause” of 2–3 weeks. He said he would do so “no question” as governor, citing science/CDC guidance and past shutdown success, and proposed “very annoying but real” fines for non-compliant businesses. https://t.co/bQocj2V95G https://t.co/bE14XYUOd1
He supported school mask mandates as the “right scientific choice” and later advocated vaccine mandates (e.g., arguing they were key to ending restrictions, given vaccines’ effectiveness against severe outcomes). He focused on overcoming hesitancy via community outreach while distinguishing science from pharmaceutical industry critiques. https://t.co/jRCEDTCgEs https://t.co/lj2SZ2JVFe

BREAKING: LOVE IT! Dr. Abdul El-Sayed says he can't wait to be a senator so that he can "grill" MAGA quack RFK Jr. about all of his insane medical conspiracy theories since he's an actual doctor.
We'd pay good money to watch this hearing...
"I can't wait to sit across RFK Jr. and actually grill him. Dude uses big words he does not understand and I happen to go to medical school so I kind of understand them," El-Sayed said during an appearance on CNN.
"It is going to be a good time holding him accountable for all of the grift that he has pushed on the American public," he added.
"So if you win that's the Trump official you most want to see testifying before you in the Senate?" asked Kaitlan Collins.
"I think it's the Trump official that most people would probably like to see me stand up against because look I'm a guy with a doctorate in medicine and in public health he's a guy who takes his kids swimming in Shit's Creek," said El-Sayed.
That is indeed something that we'd love to see. RFK Jr. has done incalculable damage to this country by pushing insane anti-vaccine rhetoric and aiding the Trump White House's gutting of crucial health services and resources.
Best of all, El-Sayed is not just a medical doctor, he's an epidemiologist. Nobody is better equipped to tear through the MAGA lies about the COVID-19 pandemic. And if, God forbid, we experience another widespread viral outbreak under this woefully incompetent administration, El-Sayed will be in a position to save lives.
America needs this man in the U.S. Senate!
Please ❤️ and share if you'd love to see Dr. El-Sayed tear into RFK Jr.!
There are many people I would like to bring in for questioning, including Bill Gates, whose ambitions include unearthing dangerous viruses & making them more transmissible to humans. I want to know about his government clearance & about his foundation's involvement in the NIH. @BiancaDLGarza
Bill Gates held a top secret Q Clearance for 7 years, through the entire pandemic. He’s not an elected official. He’s not a scientist at NIH. He’s just a very wealthy private citizen who helped shaped the government’s COVID response.

By 2035, we’re looking at $1.8 TRILLION in interest payments on our national debt.
Washington needs to get serious about reining in spending.
