@TeddyisVenn A lot of femininity is a performance or a narrow slice of womanhood based on physical beauty standards. So when you have a woman that doesn't perform these or just looks a bit different, people will think they're androgynous despite being clearly female.
@ttttestosterone Yeah, the distinction requires an arbitrary line that presupposes the binary as an actual group. When it just isn't. It's why I feel weird about the term nonbinary despite falling into it under multiple views.
@TrueSwagMessiah This is the reading philosophy experience. Instead of having thoughts where you glimpse some pattern and thinking you're unique for it. Now you just go "X speaks of this." For everything forever.
@lilystarsailor Human cells differentiate based off hormones, so yeah. Sex is a meaningless category beyond reproductive capacity. Humans exist as different "morphs" and are generally weighted towards two phenotypic groups, but everyone isn't wholly one or the other.
@applealicepie Yeah, hair being the go to example sucks. Opposed to like, chest/genital reconstruction surgeries cis people get, or even HRT for conditions that affect sex hormones.
@serketmaxxing Skill issue tbh, it just means you still have a weak theoretical understanding despite how strong you think your's is. But yeah, personally I think under current societal conditions the vast majority will continue being like this despite their best efforts.
@nasukahh17@rlycrossedup I'm nonbinary and genderfluid fyi. There are periods of times I have dysphoria over traits like my breasts and sometimes I don't. I wish I could change at will but settle for what works most of ths time. I also would've done things to transition if I was born with a female body.
@hjbaltimore I mean yeah, it's mental. An analogy, a gay man and straight man both end up in a straight relationship with a woman but will have different internal reactions to the situation despite it being the same.
@hjbaltimore Did you not pay attention to what I said? Those are percectly fine. The issue is not just the act of taking hrt itself, it's who don't because they're 100% fine with their body and don't want to change it who are onstensibly cis.
@rlycrossedup Like you don't HAVE to go on HRT to be trans, reppers and eggs are trans, but if your underlying reason for not doing so is because you're 100% comfortable with your birth body and would be dysphoric if you changed it then why even call yourself trans?
@rlycrossedup Some think themselves trans by just "identifying" as a different gender. Despite being perfectly comfortable with their body's sex characteristics. It'd be like straight people thinking they're gay because they identify with queerness. Despite having no same sex attraction.
@Doodlelot Big Neurotypical/Neurodivergent divide on this one. This how me all my autistic friends are with each other. But I've had NT friends who think I'm trying to one up them? or ignoring them when I do this?
