There is s shift going on where things we should have shut down long ago are finally on the table
But RSPCA needs to grow a pair
Normally something that "causes serious animal suffering" is what they seek to criminalise or perform rescue missions, not just label
Why not in this case? Hmmm?
🚨 FINALLY, after years of pressure, the RSPCA is strongly backing a full ban on non-stun slaughter! 🚨
They've launched an open letter to Defra demanding the UK government ends this cruel practice for good, no exemptions, no excuses.
Slaughter without effective pre-stunning causes unnecessary pain and suffering to millions of animals every year.
The RSPCA: all animals deserve to be stunned first so they don't feel the cut.
Sign their open letter right now and add your voice:

Ban Halal and all non-stun slaughter.
Animals shouldn't suffer for any reason in 2026.

We are building a little retirement village for some of the very old dogs who need it most.
I have to say the old ones are always my weak spot. These 5 especially deserve some comfort at the end of their lives ❤️
Police recovered 9 dead dogs in the death trap kennels: Hatton Kennels.
@RSPCA_official WOULD YOU LIKE TO COMMENT?
COPIED FROM FB
This is the same kennels I myself went to war with in 2022 after I had to force my way through to see what was going on with the rescue dogs. I posted back then, and we pulled nearly 40 dogs after discovering the disgusting amount of unnecessary suffering being caused. Several dogs still to this day are missing.
RSPCA visited several times but for some reason failed to do anything other than slap him on the wrist. I had pleaded, cried, begged, but nothing.
I was told to leave alone now the dogs were safe and that the RSPCA were monitoring closely. How I wish I ignored this now, I will never forgive myself.
Fast forward to this week & the same, actually worse, has happened again.
Hilbrae Pets Hotel and Stray Kennels took the dogs that were alive.
Now, Team Poundie needs help to bring the dog abuser to justice. Shockingly, the RSPCA have stated they don’t have the funds to cover the much needed post mortems for these dogs. Without post mortems, Hatton may get away with everything again.
9 dogs need full post mortems (£750 per dog) which will provide certainty of death.
If you can help towards these costs, please do to:

Pic of Boris who will never be forgotten, died in 2022 in their care. And two missing dogs we never had answers for, Kevin and Drago.
**EDIT: if you have had first hand experience with Hatton kennels please email [email protected] who are gathering evidence
Dog culling leaves the most helpless behind.
These tiny souls lost their mother to killing. A reporter at the site saw many dog bodies — one of them was their mother. Local street children tried to protect the puppies, building a small shelter, but in freezing winter, only weeks old… how could they survive?
They are safe with us now. Warm. Fed. Alive.
Please help us keep them that way — and raise your voice to stop this cruelty.

This is Serena 🤍
A broken hoof. Torn muscles. A body pushed far beyond its limits — yet she was still forced to work.
To keep her moving, her owner gave her strong painkillers, not to heal her, but to make her work. Those drugs damaged her kidneys and liver, leaving her body struggling even more.
Even after she was brought to safety, her owner kept coming back — waiting for the day he could take her again. Once, when Serena couldn’t stand and was sitting helplessly, he started hitting her with his knees before we could step in.
This is the moment you ask yourself…
Where are we going wrong as humans?
Today, Serena is finally safe. She is resting, receiving care, and slowly learning what kindness feels like — something she was denied for far too long.
This is why rescue matters.
Because no animal should suffer like this in silence.
Please follow, share, and stand with us — your support helps us protect animals like Serena who have no voice.

@NiallHarbison Great idea, we have similar but call it our sanctuary project. Old dogs, dogs who aren't suitable for rehoming & for others a place to learn to live in a human world. Great to see them in the kitchen, living room, bedroom set ups ❤️
Lost this lovely guy earlier this evening / this morning.. I’m devastated. Coliced around midnight ..not the Sat evening I thought it would be. Just the worst. 😔
Could you, please, put your paws in for our Brodie Boy.
There is an abnormal growth in his one of his testicles, which requires surgery, castration. 😥
He is 12 and shouldn’t have to go through this at his age.
He is booked in on Wednesday, we are worried sick.
"💔Another week & still no news💔This is absolutely destroying me I just need my baby girl home💔 If you think you have seen Sasha or suspect someone has her PLEASE contact in complete confidence URGENTLY 💔 Sasha has been missing, now thought to be stolen (theft by finding)

Meet Remi
A beautiful soul who has been through far more than she ever should have.
Remi was seized by the Met police after being believed to be a “type” dog. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that she had already been seized 6–8 months earlier for the same reason and after assessment, she was found not to be of type.
Despite this, Remi was taken again and kept for another six months, causing immense and unnecessary distress to her street-homeless owner.
Yesterday, after all that time, they suddenly decided to release her , once again confirming she is not of type.
Where is the accountability?
If a dog is clearly not of type, why seize them at all? Why hold them for months, only to reach the same conclusion?
This is the broken system we are forced to navigate.
The good news: Remi is now safely in our care and finally getting the love and reassurance she deserves. We are working to reunite her with her owner on Monday, where she truly belongs.
No dog — and no owner — should have to endure this kind of trauma. 🧡
@Protect_Wldlife Shame on the evil, ignorant people who caused his suffering in the first place. There is still so much ignorance and indifference in the world towards dogs. These sweet, gentle beings who are great companions to humans still are treated like vermin in the Middle East.
Elliot was born in Cairo, Egypt and what he survived at the hands of humans is beyond heartbreaking. He lost the bottoms of all four legs, and even half of his tail. But they never took the one thing they couldn't reach, his spirit.
And somehow against every odd he's still here.
Now standing on four prosthetic legs, steady and proud, choosing life with every step. Not just surviving,
living. That's what a second chance looks like; pain turned into power, scars turned into a story, and a Dog who was once discarded now walking forward like he always belonged here. ❤️
