ask a twitter user to go after an artist for past mistakes they can grow on, they’ll do it in a heart beat
but ask a twitter user to call their senator or be active in their community to fight for rights they’re suddenly
“what do you want me to do 🤷♂️”
I think the TADC situation outlines just how miserable it is to exist online right now. Like I just want to make art and talk to people and maybe hear what people think, and we’ve created these cultures of roving obsessive harassment gangs that target anyone willing to be honest.
@AdequateEmily I used to roll my eyes when people told me to get off social media, but as someone who has cut it out 90% (only been back for the collective mourning of destiny 2), it has genuinely made me a happier person.
If I was a creator I would IP block twitter. Fuck that shit.
Destiny Raids will go down in the history of gaming as one of the greatest gaming activities a team of developers were able to put together.
We really took it for granted. The amazing mechanics, the DPS phases synced with the soundtrack, the cinematic final bosses...
Sigh.
@Benjjjyy Edge of Fate, as a story, would've been a really good starting point to a D3. The biggest problems with EoF come from it being inside of a rotting D2 (that includes the portal).
Here’s what’s gonna happen:
D2 is officially over. Bungie ain’t going nowhere. Sony obviously ain’t either. Marathon isn’t “that” game to carry forward.
Another game, maybe D3 or something like, is coming. We will hear an announcement sooner than later.
It’s only logical.
@giancar73012035 It sucks because I really did like the setup with the 9, Lodi, Ikora, etc. There are some awesome moments in Edge of Fate and cool possibilities seeded from a story perspective.
But the campaign itself was repetitive and bland, and the portal gutted the game's charm.
@BriannaWu One day you'll realize that one of your biggest flaws is the fact that you've internalized the concept of "normalcy" into your own insecurities, to such a point that almost every belief you have is biased and filtered to make yourself be the "normal one".
@VirtuousMac @lecanardnoir @whooith His emphasis on *grow up* and adult made it seem like he's saying there aren't gay kids, only gay adults.
If not I'm not really sure what he even meant by that final sentence other then "did you know some ppl grow up and are gay? Wow crazy."
@usenaee@WeegeeTime0 Can you cite any evidence of it being a possibility? To me this sounds like trying to "isolate the gay gene to cure it" which has never shown any actual sign of being a feasible thing.
Unless ur talking genetic engineering of before they're born, and then its a eugenics issue
@Ringtail36@esjesjesj@jaderants ...you mean the behavior they often cite as the reason they want to kill themselves?
Don't... really see how that will help...
@analagousspam@esjesjesj@jaderants I mean, they're often pretty clear about why based on the things they tell their peers or write in their suicide notes.
We also have the testimonies of those who tried to take their lives, survived and grew up.
Less convenient and more just listening.
