Building System Arrival means making every mutation feel like a choice, not a stat increase.
Power is easy to show. Consequences are more interesting.
Which do you remember more in RPGs: the strongest upgrade, or the one that changed how you played?

@jettelly The continuous camera movement really sells both locations as one world. Did you use separate scenes with a hidden handoff, or keep the hotel and Mars in one coordinate system? I’m curious how you handled precision and level of detail across that scale.
@airbike_studio Keeping every asset in one place removes a lot of friction. It helps to put the one-sentence pitch, release window, contact email, and downloadable images with clear filenames near the top. Does the kit include a short gameplay summary that journalists can quote directly?
The System doesn’t just change the world—it changes the survivors.
In System Arrival, DNA recovered outside the bunker shapes your evolution. Each expedition can make you stronger, stranger, or less human.
Reliable survivor—or unpredictable mutations?
#SystemArrival#indiedev
Every trip outside the bunker is a negotiation with greed.
Return now and secure your DNA—or stay longer, risk everything, and come back stronger.
When do you turn back: at the first warning, or only when survival looks impossible?

@Freya_Games I like the reciprocal part of Demo Monday—trying other developers’ games is often where the most useful feedback begins. What kind of feedback are you looking for right now: first impressions, controls, or difficulty?
@16thPine_games The silhouette reads clearly even in low poly. Is the chanterelle meant to be collected, cooked, or simply make the environment feel more alive?
@LaserFreunde “No longer bound to one body” immediately made me curious: is body-swapping purely cosmetic, or does each body change abilities and interactions too?
Every run ends with a choice: return to the bunker with what you found, or stay outside a little longer for better DNA.
The System rewards greed—right until it kills you. When would you turn back?

@GiveGameStudio That’s often the hardest lesson: prove that the idea works before making it beautiful. What was the roughest placeholder you kept long enough to validate the core loop?
@GraphyMonk63345 Limiting the player to three defensive or healing cards could create real tension. Are discarded cards gone for the entire run, or can they return later? That distinction would make the choice feel either strategic or much more punishing.
@blueslime32h@tempo_game Keeping the cues consistent while changing their visuals sounds like a good balance. Do the timing rings also work without relying on sound, and can players adjust their visibility or calibration? That could make a big difference in a rhythm RPG.
@blueslime32h@tempo_game That sounds much more integrated than a simple timing bonus. The dodging-as-rhythm-minigame idea is especially interesting because it makes defense active. Do different enemies use different rhythmic patterns, or does the beat remain consistent across encounters?
@BillyBonesIndie That makes sense. It sounds like one of those mechanics where the right number only becomes obvious when players are already frustrated. Watching how often they choose the tow—and whether they regret it afterward—should give you a useful signal.
@BenVibrantt The guitar gives the theme a strong identity. Was it written for a specific kind of scene or as a studio theme first? I’m curious whether you would keep the full arrangement in-game or strip it back to leave more room for gameplay SFX.
@SoftpaleGames Discovery hubs are most useful when the curation feels intentional. What decides whether a game becomes a featured hidden gem—editorial choice, community voting, or player behavior?
@333Creepyshift The old PC is a great detail for setting the mood. Is it only environmental storytelling, or can the player actually use it during a shift—and regret doing so?
@bountybrawlgame Targeto sounds like a good test of build flexibility. Do Synergy Perks change the best route through the time-attack event, or are they mainly about getting more damage out of the same path?
