A few months ago, we were surprised to find footage indicating that two of the female wildcats released in 2023 have each had a second litter of kittens 🐾

While not impossible, second litters in the same year are rare!

@carnivorelab Apart from the tail, you would need to check for 4 stripes on the neck, 2 on the shoulders, and more importantly the dorsal line should end before tail. @SaveOurWildcats

Can someone help!? I am looking for a software to identify individuals from the coat pattern, using camera trapping photos. I came across HotSpotter but was wondering what else is out there. What do you recommend? 🐆🦓🐅🦒

@TiagoALOMarques I have a batch of photos identified at the species level, but now I want to look at the coat pattern to try to ID individuals. So, I would want to save a given pattern and then compare it to other photos to see if it is the same individual or not
