If you want to have a classroom where your students are motivation you have to be someone who is motivated to help them learn. #modeling#psy347#ahamoment
@KatieLaidman I love this quote! I have always been someone who is afraid of speaking up because I’m afraid of being wrong but sometimes it’s okay to be wrong because that’s how we learn.
Hi my name is Becky Anahi Prieto and I am a first generation student. I was the first in my family to graduate from High school and I will be the first in my family graduating from College in December 2019. #FirstGenerationDay#proud

The video we watched this week in class really showed me that I would love to have a classroom discussion everyday to have students tell me about their weekend and one thing they want to learn this week. #Howtodoit#psy347
Being a good teacher is also being a good coworker. I cannot teach my kids at my best ability if I am not letting others help me out as well. #taooftheweek#psy347
@KatieLaidman I think learner directed instruction is so crucial in a students education so that the student knows they are also a little bit in control of what they are learning!
@KatieLaidman I find it super beneficial to start with your main goal first and then work your way up to that goal which is why i also think its essential to start with the learning outcome!
When looking at the feedback classmates gave for the school I realized I would want to do this feedback survey in my own classroom so I can get constructive criticism from my students in an anonymous way. #PSY437#ahamoment
I enjoyed the SMART activity this week. It taught me to remember to use different objectives when planning a lesson objective for the classroom. #PSY437#howtodoit
I find it important to get feedback from your students once in a while so you can know what is helping your students learn and what is not working so that you can go fix that. #PSY347#taooftheweek
@SydneyBlackbu11 I agree that if you make assumptions on ones culture and never get to learn about it on your own you will never truly see the real side of the culture which is where stereotypes are created. Having no stereotypes/misconceptions in your classroom will create that safe environment!
#PSY347#taooftheweek When you step into the classroom you represent yourself and nothing else. You are not what you look like, you are not who you sound like and no one else can be you. Be proud to be you.
@CamYantis I have always thought about how much i've hated teachers mispronouncing my name because it is a part of me and a part of my culture i feel like not trying to learn how to correctly pronounce a name is stripping someone from their identity and culture.
