We are so excited to announce our Graduate School Mentorship Initiative (GSMI) 2026 class. Our scholars are the next generation of scientific leaders!

Through our national GSMI program, we are supporting 100 students across the U.S. with graduate school application preparation in the sciences to support Master’s and PhD entry.

Our GSMI scholars will receive one-on-one mentorship from a STEM professional, fee waiver and scholarship support, interview preparation, and access to a community of scientists across the U.S.

Our GSMI 2026 class:
✅ 74% from low-income backgrounds
✅ 65% female
✅ Applying to graduate school programs in Biosciences, Engineering, Physics and Psychology
✅ Undergraduate universities include CUNY, Stony Brook University, University of California system, University of Florida, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and University of Puerto Rico, among others!

After ICE illegally locked me out last week, I finally got into the Adelanto ICE facility. What I saw was horrifying: LA workers held in filthy, inhumane conditions, cut off from lawyers, family, and basic necessities.
