A 32-year-old woman who survived a Rapido bike taxi accident in Bengaluru has alleged that the company failed to provide adequate support despite her medical expenses crossing ₹20 lakh.

The woman, identified as Sani Krishna, said she suffered facial injuries in the accident and underwent plastic surgery as part of her treatment. She alleged that Rapido's claims regarding women's safety were misleading, stating, "They market women's safety, but it is all false."

According to Sani, the accident occurred on the morning of June 17 while she was travelling on a Rapido bike taxi from her residence in Byrasandra to her workplace in Domlur. She alleged that the bike crashed near Bagmane Tech Park while attempting to overtake a tractor.

Sani was initially admitted to Manipal Hospital and was later shifted to Mithras Hospital in Kozhikode, Kerala, for further treatment. She claimed that despite the mounting medical expenses, Rapido did not show concern or provide sufficient assistance after the accident.

She said she continues to seek justice and alleged that she was not the only person affected, claiming that several others have faced similar incidents.

Rapido has not issued a public response to the allegations. The circumstances surrounding the accident and the claims made by Sani are subject to further verification.
