सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने संभल हिंसा मामले में जेल में बंद मुल्ला अफरोज से NSA हटाया। गलत तरीके से NSA लगाने पर UP सरकार पर 10 लाख रुपए का जुर्माना लगाया। साथ ही मुल्ला अफरोज को जमानत दी।

संभल में 24 नवंबर 2024 को हिंसा हुई। 13 अक्तूबर 2025 को संभल पुलिस ने मुल्ला अफरोज को NSA के तहत हिरासत में लिया था।

There was a section among Muslims that believed giving up the Babri Masjid claim and abandoning certain practices would resolve the Hindutva problem vis-à-vis Muslims. I don't know whether that was naive or whether they believed such concessions would somehow protect their own interests. But here we are: Sambhal, Mathura, Ujjain, and the list seems endless.

Hindutva is fundamentally an ideological problem, and it cannot be defeated by giving up particular claims, practices or rights. It has to be confronted and resisted at the level of ideology and politics. Ultimately, the choice is stark: either we accept the possibility of being progressively erased from public and political life, or we resist.
