It is a day for moving
Bodies, powdery and heavier
Than I recall; is it the groan of memories,
or the weight of guilt? Only a #quaint cemetery, cedar boxes in a closet full of mementos. No need to lay a wreath or sweep leaves off cold stones amid treed paths.

Amos Oz, Israeli author in 1995 stated in his NYT article
“Hamas therefore should be seen as the most effective collaborator of the extreme right in Israel.“
Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Segev, military governor of Gaza in the early 80s told how he helped finance Hamas as a counterweight to the secularist and leftist PLO and FATAH party lead by Yasser Arafat who himself referred to Hams as a “Creature of Israel”
Avner Cohen, former Israeli religious affairs official who worked in Gaza for more than 2 decades told the Wall Street Journal in 2009
“Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel’s creation”.
Avner himself wrote a report warning them not to play divide-and-rule in the Occupied Territories, by backing up Islamist militants against Palestinian secularists.
“I suggest focussing our efforts on finding ways to break up this monster before this reality jumps in our face”.
Netanyahu was warned over and over again about the dangers of Hamas, yet he himself declared in 2019:
“Hamas are our partner, we must ensure they are well funded”.
Each Hamas offensive has driven Israeli politics further and further right, this suits Netanyahu, who is adamant will never offer the Palestinians a state under any conditions. It has been more important to Likud to keep Hamas funded, the Palestinian people between Gaza and the West Bank divided and the two state solution, dead in the water.
The violent actions of Hamas have always been exploited by the Israeli right to justify their policies and ongoing treatment of Palestinians both in Gaza and the West Bank.
It is time to accept this policy is untenable, as it has been for decades, it is time to offer a peaceful solution, encourage other voices that want to engage in the Peace process and stop stalling in offering the indigenous Palestinians the rights we all take for granted.
@MarkHertling@MatthewSpira Hamas and Israel are each sowing eternal hate, even where it was perhaps beginning to fade. I see only squandered hope and absolutely zero empathy. I so wish this tragedy had been avoided. 🖤💔
Federal child care funding is about to fall off a cliff and push 3 million kids out of care — but MAGA Republicans want even more cuts. My op-ed with @SenTinaSmith on why @POTUS should ask Congress for emergency child care funding.

@RonDeSantis Your version of universal school choice translates to universal ignorance.
No, thanks. I’m sorry for Floridians whose children will be affected by your narrow mindedness.
4 takeaways from abortion-rights advocates’ Ohio win - CNN Politics
Ohio pushes back against insanity—thank you for seeing the transparent ploy to self-righteous clods having a say in women’s heath decisions, and many other issues to come.#abortionrights https://t.co/NkmvKCOJbU
1) Finally!
And 2) Who can still be loyal to him as he’s clearly running full speed for the cliff ? What a strange delusion. Do his supporters really have no doubt?

BREAKING: @NPR drops bombshell, reveals that Elon Musk just sent them a “series” of angry emails “threatening” to revoke their Twitter handle and “reassign it to another company” if they don’t “start tweeting again.”
One ex-Twitter executive was shocked by Musk’s threat, telling NPR that such a threat “should be alarming to any business operating on the site, since it indicates that acquiescing to Musk's every whim may be necessary in order to avoid being impersonated on Twitter.”
Social media experts say that Musk’s threat “poses a serious risk of impersonation and could imperil a company's reputation” and that “if this is a sign of things to come on Twitter, we might soon see even more of a rapid retreat by media organizations and other brands that don't think it's worth the risk," said Emily Bell, a professor at Columbia Journalism School who studies social media. "It's really an extraordinary threat to make."
Last month, NPR effectively quit Twitter after Musk applied a label to the news organization's account that falsely suggested it was state-controlled. Other public media organizations, including PBS and the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., followed suit and stopped tweeting following similar labeling.
In an email sent at 2:19 a.m. EST after this story was originally published on the NPR website, Musk wrote a new email to NPR without any text in the body but with this subject line: "You suck."
Please RT to expose Musk’s awful tenure as Twitter CEO, smash the ❤️ if you have NPR’S back against him, and consider joining the growing exodus to https://t.co/3VM3MqTSy0, a new Twitter alternative that I created that Musk is trying to keep everyone from finding out about. He banned Tribel’s Twitter account last week — but he has yet to ban this link to download Tribel’s new app: https://t.co/0c9FDbB14A
@mooninabucket Really, I loved the physical closeness and made sure our co-sleeping arrangement, in a extension bed next to ours, was safe for our kid. He’s incredibly independent now.
Pretty remarkable that America temporarily constructed a safety net during Covid — including major health care coverage, food benefits, anti poverty funding for families & kids, etc — and then just systematically and slowly demolished it
