@dane_hidden@RadioFreeTom Yes, I definitely want politicians in Congress to specify how many bolts an airplane door must have.
What could go possibly wrong?
@WalksfarwolfSL@RadioFreeTom They are ๐ช๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด of laws that were passed by Congress.
Agencies are specifically empowered to create and enforce regulations ๐ฃ๐บ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด.
@LegalChico@RonFilipkowski@TheRickWilson Now redraw that map scaled by population.
Then, instead of red and blue, use combinations of red and blue based on vote percentages. Everything will be just slightly different shades of purple.
The reality is quite different than what your ideology requires you to believe.
@ThomasM67494605@25_cycle@_ClimateCraze@DanCady So, nobody says that the GHGs "store heat" in the atmosphere. They just prevent some of the outbound IR from escaping into space by absorbing it and then re-radiating it in a random direction--which includes downward.
@tommysantos14 Elon #1: Trust in the legacy media is rightfully at an all-time low
Elon #2: Send [X] links to friends ... so that they know the truth of whatโs going on
Elon doesn't understand that #1 is the result of millions of expressions of sentiments similar to #2.
@robinmonotti I conclude that
1) You like to draw fake trend lines.
2) You don't understand that the overall trend of ~500 million years has zero relevance to the effects of climate change on a civilization that's only a few thousands years old.
@BLOCVOTEORG @GeraldKutney Your "question" is based on a false premise, namely that anyone says or believes that there is a "correct" amount of COโ for Earth's atmosphere.
No one does.
This question invariably indicates someone who either doesn't understand the science or is just trolling.
@evandawson@RadioFreeTom Apparently his younger self didn't notice that most of the time it was not "everyone" who "cheered and clapped." Most of the time it's only half of them.
He also didn't notice that for the last 4 years, his team didn't do ANY of the stuff he wants.
@JohnK1234abcd@GeraldKutney The meaningful issue is that you used a nonsense chart originally created by a mine safety engineer to justify your conclusions. There are real paleoclimate charts. That's not one of them.
@MDS1428395@CarmineSabia@EdKrassen@AndrewYang Well, I'd prefer that the US government not be purchased by the Mellons and Elon Musk, but I guess that doesn't bother you.
In any event, my argument isn't with your views, which you're entitled to. It's with the incessant use of "narrative," even when it clearly doesn't apply.
@JohnK1234abcd@GeraldKutney The chart is "adapted from" a 17-year-old article in something called Biology Cabinet, which I'm not convinced is a real journal. That article is not available anywhere that I can find.
So there's no real source for the chart, which certainly looks like the ancient Hieb chart.
@MDS1428395@CarmineSabia@EdKrassen@AndrewYang You can be sick of whatever you want, but it's simply a fact that the Trump campaign got far more from the super-wealthy than the Harris campaign did.
That's not a "narrative." It's reality.
@JohnK1234abcd@GeraldKutney > Again, the chart was published and obtained from the following alarmist source
And again, that "source" doesn't provide sufficient information to identify the original source of the chart or what data it is based on.
I already pointed this out.
@JohnK1234abcd@GeraldKutney No, it isn't "well respected." The original was done by a guy with no training or expertise in climate, based in the work of ANOTHER guy with no training or expertise in climate. The chart is thoroughgoing nonsense. See, for example:
https://t.co/5igDHUuQR2)
@JohnK1234abcd@GeraldKutney > The source was (more than) clearly provided
...and if you go to that source, it merely says "adapted from" some other obscure reference. What exactly is "Biology Cabinet Journal Online, 2007," and what were the original data sources?
