I’m profoundly opposed to this kind of approach. Our artists have worked hard for years to produce the most beautiful shots possible, to me it's a huge lack of respect.

The framing is identical and the 'realistic' aspect doesn't add anything concrete or artistic

I'm just saying if someone asked if I liked the thing I paid money for, I wouldn't say "no" for the online street cred and then go home and keep playing it. I'll say yes and then be open to discussion about its flaws like a normal person.

I'll say it. The second one is an example of how performative people are about HP hate, and yes I say this as someone who bought the wizard game and ALSO publicly hates JKR's guts. They bought the game, downvoted it and made a protest comment, and then kept playing it.

You can play the game or don't. It's fine if you choose not to engage with the IP anymore. But publicly thumping one's chest about hating HP and anyone who's still nostalgic for it is stupid if you're still secretly enjoying it or adjacent things like Misfits & Magic on the side.
