President Putin, the path to peace is clear. End this war. Withdraw Russian forces from Ukraine. Respect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Uphold international law.
I delivered the Nordic Statement on Ukraine at the #UNSC.
🇸🇪⚡ Swedish proposal could ruin Russian summer
Migration Minister Johan Forssell (M) is now coming out with a Swedish initiative that could hit Russian tourists hard in the EU.
Last year, 477,878 Schengen visas were issued to Russian citizens.
Forssell: “It is completely unreasonable that Russian citizens are enjoying luxury holidays while Ukrainians are dying.”
Sweden wants EU countries to be able to deny visas based on nationality — something that is currently not allowed.
The proposal has the support of all Nordic countries, the Baltics, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Poland.
Why Sweden is pushing this:
– stop Russian luxury tourism
– reduce security threats and espionage
– close loopholes used by the Kremlin
– make a political mark during ongoing wars
Forssell: “We must put an end to Russian weekend trips around the Mediterranean.”
What is happening now:
The proposal is at the EU migration ministers’ meeting in Luxembourg.
If it goes through, Russian travel to the EU could be severely restricted — perhaps as early as this summer, depending on processing times.
In short:
Sweden wants to close the door to Russian tourism.
The question is whether the EU dares to take the step.
Today is the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression. For Ukrainians, this is a painful reality that has become part of everyday life.
Since 2022 alone, Russia has killed 707 Ukrainian children, injured 2,548, and left 2,318 missing. The youngest victim was just two days old - born and killed in a maternity hospital.
These figures may be far higher, as the full truth about what has happened in the temporarily occupied territories remains unknown. In addition, at least 20,470 Ukrainian children have been deported to Russia or forcibly displaced.
Eternal memory to all the children whose lives have been taken by Russia's aggression...
Unfortunately, the current level of supplies for our air defense does not allow us to intercept a significant share of missiles. Last night, there were hits. 130 people were injured. Tragically, 22 people were killed, including two children. My condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones.
We know from intelligence that another large-scale strike may come as soon as tonight. All our partners together, and everyone in Europe, should continue working to ensure missiles for our air defense, as well as the systems, critical intelligence, and other things that help to save lives.
It is crystal clear that Europe needs its own anti-ballistic system with sufficient volumes and strength to guarantee protection against any threat.
Marta Kostyuk after reaching Roland Garros semifinals:
"We played historical match today with Elina. We had very difficult night again in Ukraine, especially Kyiv. So many people dead. I want to give this match to Ukrainian people and their resilience. Thank you. Slava Ukraini!
I want to point out Elina and her incredible impact on Ukrainian tennis, on Ukrainians, on me and everyone who is watching. She is an unbelievable fighter and I'm so happy to be through semifinals, but I want to thank her again for this incredible match."
Marta Kostyuk has reached Roland Garros semifinals for the first time in Ukraine’s history. She became first Ukrainian in history to reach women’s semifinal of this clay-court Grand Slam.
Kimmel: I like your football jersey. Supporting Ukrainian team?
Chef José Andrés: My beloved Spanish team, of course. But Ukraine is my team today. They didn’t make it to World Cup, but today they're fighting the biggest match — for freedom and democracy.
Kimmel: Yes, they are.
Chef José Andrés: And can I tell you one more thing?
Kimmel: Yes, please.
Chef José Andrés: No civilian should ever be bombed. Not in Ukraine, not in Gaza, not in Lebanon, not in Israel. No war! That’s why they are my team today.
Russia’s war of aggression has crossed yet another line.
A Russian drone incursion struck a densely populated area in Romania, injuring civilians.
On EU territory.
We stand in full solidarity with Romania and its people.
As we continue strengthening our security and deterrence, especially on our Eastern border, we will keep increasing the pressure on Russia.
We are preparing a 21st package of sanctions.
Well then, the news is confirmed — the swamps are howling to the skies.
We are receiving 16 Gripens, and you understand what that means: if this has already been officially announced, then everything is ready.
And here are some aspects of the aircraft that, it seems, still haven’t been widely discussed.
The Gripen was designed in Sweden specifically for partisan-style warfare in the event of a possible war with the USSR. It can take off and land on ordinary highways or forest roads, requiring only about 500–800 meters of usable surface.
An F-16, by comparison, needs a perfectly clean and long runway, making its airfields priority targets. Gripens, however, can be hidden and dispersed across the entire country.
Fast and simple maintenance:
The Gripen does not require an army of elite engineers or massive stationary equipment for turnaround servicing. A small team of a few technicians or conscripts can refuel and rearm it in just 10–20 minutes прямо “in the field” using a single support vehicle.
Weapons integration:
Right out of the box, it is compatible with almost all Western missiles and guided bombs that Ukraine already has or is receiving. No need for improvised modifications or complicated software adaptations.
And if they arrive together with Meteor missiles with a range of 150+ km… well… the glide-bomb carriers are going to have a very bad time.
Sweden will transfer the first 16 Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine.
Thank you, Sweden! 🇸🇪🇺🇦
These are JAS 39 Gripen C/D multirole fighters - aircraft Ukraine had previously described as among the most sought-after for strengthening its combat aviation.
Ukraine and Sweden also signed a declaration on deepening defense cooperation.

Я напомню что при передаче тела у девушки оказалось что отсутствовали внутренние органы, головной мозг, глазные яблоки, часть трахеи.
Очередное напоминание всему миру с кем воюет Украина. Это не люди.
Swedish Ambassador Martin Åberg visited the sites destroyed in the russian attack:
“My name is Martin Åberg, and I am the Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine. Today is May 25, the day after a massive russian missile attack. A devastating strike on Kyiv.
What you see behind me is one of the sites visited by all invited ambassadors so they could witness the consequences with their own eyes. Six russian missiles struck a shopping center, a market, and the entrance to a metro station. It is simply staggering.”

More than 70 heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions visited the sites of recent Russian strikes on Kyiv.
All of these courageous diplomats, heads, and journalists continue working in Kyiv under constant strikes for the sake of peace in our country.
We thank Ukraine’s friends for their support and for standing with us.
ZELENSKYY: We attack military targets in Russia, or their energy, which they sell to fund war. Russians deliberately target civilian objects: museums, schools, apartments. They destroyed this Chornobyl museum that we built for 40th anniversary just one month ago. Crazy assholes.

“If it was 100m closer, I probably wouldn’t have a mum and sister today.”

russia bombed Kyiv's sleeping civilians for five hours. russia wants to terrorise a peaceful population into submission.
Why do we let them?
Close the skies. Use their assets to arm Ukraine. Stop buying their energy. Isolate them from the world. Come on
