@megha_lilly What happened to the term Aspie? Perfectly described the young Sheldons, who prioritize their own interests, tend to have higher IQs, and prefer to avoid continuous eye contact.
@JOttoPohl1@FORTRESSMAXXING What do you think about this alternative view of the Rwandan genocide from 2014?

Or Unz's follow up from 2024, comparing to Gaza?

@usutav Best wishes Lasse. You could get a job taking care of old people. Either in a nursing home or entrepreneurially in the community.
Also, consider joining an evangelical church. They would help you even if you don't share their faith.
@xbtDLN I'm in tick-infested woods everyday. My protocol:
Dog takes Nexgard and wears Seresto.
Dog bed and couch covered with white blankets.
I wear dedicated dog-walking clothes, light colored, removed after each walk.
Me, dog, clothes, blankets inspected often.
Rarely use sprays.
@martianwyrdlord Even before DEI took off, many careers had already become fake or meaningless.
Much of academic research just confirmed what people higher in the food chain believed, or ethnic nepotism.
The purest career was Wall Street.
Fight Club, Office Space illustrated this era.
@BenSwann_ Massie is more accomplished and much smarter than an "ordinary guy."
And his hearings have produced very compelling rhetoric on topics including the J6 pipe bombs, climate change, transportation....
@AlexTran677026 The long first act of this film made me nostalgic for the America I barely remember, what I thought being an adult would be like, ie, responsibilities and community.
@georgeregnery@RaminNasibov The US government carried out a coup in Australia in the 1960s.
Non-violent, afaik, and not an explicit foreign take over. But still an edge case.
@malmesburyman An old fashioned but relevant concept is "grace," meaning blessings bestowed not earned.
Grace with a capital G, ie, saving Grace, is the ultimate example. Forgiveness a common eg.
As our enemies call good evil and visa versa, they call grace "privilege" or here, "luck."
@Ne_pas_couvrir I read GG&S in a book club with a bunch of fairly high IQ, lefty grad students. I, the resident right winger, was the only one who read the whole book. Everyone else gave up.
The book is repetitive and dull, after the opening scene about conquering the Incas.
@surfbortcowboy@h3ll0again It's ok to start with lighter kettlebells, 26 lbs or even 18 lbs, to develop good form on the swing and snatch. Rogue sells US-made kettlebells, btw.
An adjustable bench and a few pairs of dumbbells can cover a lot of ground as well.
