‘27 IF Ricardo Hurtado (CA) leaves no doubt on this missile 💣💣💣
The tools rise in gameplay with the sum of parts & makeup raising the profile.
Consistent performer who should help any winning program.

seeing @UCLABaseball and @UCLASoftball get eliminated on the same day hurts my heart. Great season by both programs. Players and coaches should be proud.
Thank you to everyone who allowed me to be part of your life. Coaching gave me more joy than I ever imagined. I’m most proud of helping teenage boys become responsible men. I’ll cherish the memories.
Much love!
@TMeusborn is a legend and I am grateful to have played for and learned from him. There was nothing better than walking to see the practice plan at lunch, the spring trips to Vegas, or the pursuit of playing under the light at “DS.” Congratulations coach, you are simply the best!
NEW: Sierra Canyon head baseball coach Tom Meusborn has announced his resignation, the school announced.
Meusborn finishes his coaching career with 774 total wins.

HUGE news for prep Baseball as reported by the legend @latsondheimer.
Meusborn built a powerhouse program at Chatsworth high school in the 90s, winning a City section record 8 titles.
Jumped over to Sierra Canyon to build a Nationally ranked squad.
Retires with 774 wins.
A huge reason why I started coaching HS baseball was because of the impact @TMeusborn and the Chatsworth baseball program had on my life. Grateful for you and all the life lessons you poured into me as a person, coach!
I signed to UCLA my junior year of high school and was told I was going to start Day 1.
Opening Day at UCLA?
I was sitting the bench. 😭
I had 2 choices:
1. Complain, pout, and blame the coaches
OR
2. Find the holes on the team and become valuable.
So for 3 weeks, I sat the bench.
I showed up early.
Stayed late.
Cheered for my teammates.
Dragged the field every 3rd inning.
Meanwhile, I studied the team.
The middle infielders were doing well.
Third base wasn’t.
So I told the coaches:
“I can play third.”
Then I noticed something else:
Offensively, we were either hitting home runs or getting out.
I saw the gap.
If I could become a tough out, get on base, and bring energy to the team…
I could create value.
Then we played Miami.
The starting third baseman was hitting .115.
They gave me a shot.
I went 2 for 3 with a walk.
Played solid defense.
Brought energy.
I never sat the bench again.
Eventually, I became team captain…
and we were ranked #1 in the country.
One thing baseball taught me:
Opportunities don’t always go to the most talented player.
Sometimes they go to the player who becomes the most valuable.
One name in particular that I would keep an eye on for the @ucrbsb job: Former GCU head coach Gregg Wallis. There is definite interest on both sides, I'm told.
‘27 INF/OF Ricardo Hurtado of @olubaseball
Few guys have popped us much as Hurtado has this year. There’s strength in frame with room for more and the result is continuously loud contact at the dish. Aggressive but selective approach; doesn’t often chase. Lots to like here.
‘26 C Brady Murrieta of @olubaseball
3 HR day for the #Texas signee but none bigger than the three run shot in a tie game in T7. Responsible for five of OLu’s 9 runs as the Lancers win 9-6 over Corona.
@LesLukach
Quick freshman shoutout to former OLU standout Wyatt Hanoian ('27 elig.). Putting together an awesome season for the Falcons (.371/.519/.604, 30BB/17K). Just 15% whiff/chase and is flashing legit impact (111 max EV). Intriuging INF follow for '27. @PGCollegeBall 🎥: @AF_Baseball
Two hit game for Ricardo Hurtado (2027) of @olubaseball . Led off B1 with an oppo double to the gap, coming around to score first run, and picked up 2 strike knock up the middle. Uncommitted OF regularly gives us good looks in the box.
#PGHS@PG_Uncommitted
Couple of swings here from @olubaseball inf CJ Weinstein (2026). The @LSUbaseball commit on the barrel twice vs premium velo, driving in the first run of the game on sac fly and turning on one for a single. IBB in third at bat.
#PGHS@PG_Scouting
Clean inning of work closing things out for Marcus Greis (2026) of @olubaseball . @TCU_Baseball commit was 91 w/ the FB (2500's RPM), and SL 83/84. Easy, repeatable delivery.
#PGHS@PG_Scouting
10 K's over six innings of one run ball for @olubaseball righty Cooper Sides (2026). The @LSUbaseball commit showed two FB's 92-94 t95, going to the SL often 80-83, mixing in occasional CB 79/80 and CH 83-85.
