#M62 J37 to J38 near #Howden, all lanes are now open following an RTC involving an over-turned caravan. Our #TrafficOfficers were able to use their 4x4 and training to get the caravan back on its wheels and cleared to the hard shoulder.

@HighwaysYORKS The Traffic Officer involved needs an Empire Award.

A very cold wintery day up on the pass keeping the road clear. Our message over the coming days will remain the same as the @metofficeUK warning remains in place for ice & snow. #StaySafe #StayHome #EssentialJourneysOnly

Our #TrafficOfficers Mark and Andy are out and about this morning taking extra wind readings and responding to incidents. We are currently experiencing winds at 60mph+ throughout the region.
There is lots of surface water and driving rain.

A great day for #TrafficOfficers @ABPHumber @HumberRoads and @HumbersideFire
120 vehicles stopped & checked, some with minor defects. One that was not permitted to leave due to exposed cords on a tyre and dozens of fully compliant safe vehicles!
#RoadSafetyWeek @Brakecharity

[National Highways: Yorkshire @HighwaysYORKS]

#TrafficOfficers are currently stationed at #Immingham @abports21 with a vehicle safety check point. Call in with them for a chat and winter vehicle check and you may even get yourself a key ring tyre depth checker to keep. #RoadSafetyWeek2019

[National Highways: North-East @HighwaysNEAST]

#TrafficOfficers stopped the vehicle towing this trailer on the M1 in South Yorkshire. Defects included no brake-away cable, no spray suppression, generally in poor condition and a driver without a licence to tow. As part of #RoadSafetyWeek2019 @SYPOperations attended.
