Not sure we'll get much of a better chance to go up than that, St. Mirren there for the taking for half of the 1st leg & most of tonight. Sadly not good enough when it really mattered. I didn't expect us to get close to promotion this season but sadly the same old play-off story.
I assumed if he was leaving it was due to a disagreement on contract length but signing 1 year deal at Ayr doesn't, it doesn't seem that way. You need good guys about the squad that drive others on, we'll struggle to replace what we've lost so far. All the best Banzo.
We can confirm that, after over 15 years as a Jag and 441 senior appearances, Stuart Bannigan has left the club.
He leaves as a legend, a two-time title-winner and a Hall of Famer.
From everyone here at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill, thank you Banzo.

How can you not have an agreed budget by now, we're being set up to fail - there is no acceptable excuse. It should have been a working document for the past 12 months & agreed immediately post play-off outcome. What is the point of the Trustees if they've let it slide so long?

@billyjoel is amazing, gutted he's not playing at Murrayfield tonight. The show on BBC2 has softened the blow slightly! Hopefully he can get back on the road at somepoint.
@realcolinquinn He was offered it, rejected it & we say we want him back as a player...but everyone knows that's not happening - would be my thinking!
Never a fan of having two tiered season tickets, yes give some additional benefits for an additional cost but your ability to get access to potential 'priority' games shouldn't depend on you having the money upfront to purchase an upgraded season ticket. @PartickThistle
If we didn't think he would be a good head coach why did we initially offer him the job? No point trying to re-write history to suit the circumstances as they are now. If BGs position wasn't already untenable at the Club, it is now with that headline.

What has gone on here. Having been present during challenging times at the Club...I can't imagine what the response would have been from those who seem to remain silent during a period of time that should raise as many queries & concerns from supporters (not just this shambles).
Whatever is going on, it doesn't exactly give you confidence for all other areas of the Club, or future important decisions, when arguably the biggest decision we can make has been a shambles from start to finish.
@Colinwallace76 You move fast to to sort it then or stick to your original plan that's 3+ months in the making. I don't see how we could afford him or give him the budget for the squad he'd be used to in Scotland - without selling some more shares to fund it.
@Colinwallace76 Neilson was sacked on 11th April, if we've reacted to that then I'd be even more concerned as to why he hadn't been contacted previously.
Doolan was sacked on 18th February, we're now over 3 months down the line & it's still dragging on. This should have been a summer of being organised, out of play-offs early & new manager in place straight after. Players out of contract waiting, while our rivals get an advantage.
